body lift and spring lift< yeah.
nice mandatory exaggerated angle photo< haha yeah comments about that on FB where i took it from.

Your Jeep is looking awesome!
Mates got a Jeep wrangler, 9inch lift kit etc
-
the factory ones are crap, made of ali and always break! I went and got brass fittings, think they were about $3 each. Take your hose in with you as there are different sizes. If the plug has snapped off inside just use a screw driver to tap i out, be careful not to damage the thread!
-
They don't, well didnt when i rang up about it last year.
Love lady is where i got mine done. $50 a wheel one week turn around
-
yeah that can be easily done to pour that amount of money into it. I was pretty tempted myself to buy it, just for the new parts in it!
-
looks good! That starter motor conversion is the best $120 i ever spent, could properly do it cheaper if you know what honda to get the starter motors out of.
I haven't touched my sport since i thrashed it a few months ago haha. Will you get this on the dyno?
-
yeah that white wire should do that, what's it like with just one head lamp running? two might be too much? what's the voltage across the battery when they are both on and its running?
-
What colour is your wire from the engine? is it white? If you go back to the wiring diagram you can see that the head lights are run off the battery. Also if the wire is white it looks like it gets connect into the yellow wire from the engine when the lighting switch is turned on to boost that circuit.
You can run this bike without a battery it just means that it would blow your bulbs all the time as it not regulated like Sam said.
Battery acts as a regulator, you will blow the lamps other wise
But looking at the diagram again its hard to tell what is switched to what in the "headlight switch block"
-
just connect it into the yellow somewhere with a switch on it, and with the x2 front a rear on it will make them brighter. Doesn't help on dons bike that the carb intake is facing forward haha
-
The DC from the rectifier straight to the coil, the battery is just connected in parallel to this anyway. I should properly check what its putting out from the rectifier, too excited with getting it running. Got the bike going a lot better today with an airfilter pipe on the carb, which creates the vacuum in the carb or something, But idling without anything on the accelerator cable it would just randomly rev up and then just die haha. any ideas?
So what colour is the wire that comes from the engine that puts out 3v?
-
we had dons ct90 going yesterday with no battery, going to put it back in as per the wiring diagram though

yeah if it was stock that's what i was thinking but could always change the jets etc? I think it was around the 200ish mark to get it tuned there. ive had it done there twice in the last two years.

palmside tuned the 45's on the 2.0L i have, What work have you done to the 2.0?

that sucks man, i have an RD50 and its registered as a moped and should be according to the manual which says this in the introduction.
"when a law was introduced in the UK in August 1977, which re-defined a moped as a lightweight motorcycle of no more than 50cc engine capacity and a designed maximum speed of no more than 30mph, the manufacturers at first responded by producing restricted versions of their existing models . Yamaha's own model the FS1-E was easily converted into the restricted FS1m series, this was so successful it stayed in production for several more years. However, Yamaha realised that a new model was required to match those of their rivals, so the RD50M appeared in Jan 1978. The RD50M featured "proper" motorcycle styling and was equipped to a very high standard with features such as a hydraulically operated disc brake and tacho meter.etc etc"
So is the RD50 still a moped? yes according to the manual just a higher spec one with motorcycle styling.
My bike has a lager piston, porting and expansion chamber etc and i can still only get 72ishkph out of it tops
So hopefully i dont get one of those letters!

have to work on this weekend now, will pay for some parts for my RD though!

im keen to head down. Anyone else?
-
i went onto ebay uk and smashed in 4x108 and got pages and pages of wheels..
more than ive ever seen on trademe.
they are mostly horrible ones. Try putting 13, 14 or 15 after 4x108.
-
Turns out they are 4x110 which makes sense now. They fit but i was told the studs have a chance of breaking so wont end up using them unless i get adapters and if im going to do that i might as well go 4x114. Bit of a bummer but oh well. Do i Sell them or Keep them? They are Sharak x-1x
http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f112753985 (few sets on there just not 4x110)
I don't have a spare bonnet sorry
-
Yup i can take you for a spin, Needs a clean etc.
dont think 13x9's will fit under the guards, but can only try!
Does any one know much about the wheels, Says made in Japan, Sharak x-1x. I looked them up on yahoo and they are only selling them in 4x114 I need one more!
have a set of these that are being polished cheers to Ridal and then painted
