just scored a dirt cheap 4g61t with a 1800 62t head on it, i was wondering how easy it will be to put it into my 78 lancer, currently runnng a sohc 4g63 with 4 speed.
*will 1800 dohc head bolt onto 2lt bottem end
*are the 61s narrow block
any info on this kind of conversion would be a big help.
cheers
i have just got my hands on a vr4 4g63t block and head and was thinking of doing a conversion, my lancer is curently running a 4g63 sohc out of a sigma with a 4 speed box. i was wondering if i could do a na dohc using the vr4 head and sigma bottom end or some how na the vr4 motor and block, also what gearbox would be best suited or could i use the 4 speed and change diff ratios or even go the turbo option, any info/thourghts guys? cheers sam
i was thinking about putting a set of quad gsx1100 carbs onto my hillman imp. the older style ones ( got two sets of 1100 and two sets of 750 cc) what would be the best ones to use? since it came off a bike will it have to be gravity fed? could i have a surge tank monuted above the motor and have a return to the fuel tank and use a fuel pump to get the juice up there?
iv got a 4g63 turbo motor siting in my shed, it has no manafolds, just block and head, came out of a fwd libero. will it bolt up to my box? or will the head bolt on to my 4g32? could i run it n/a if it does, ne help would be great? im prity lost when it comes to mitcys
