  1. Finished the cluster restoration.. just need to find my other cluster lenses.. started on a-pillar trims.. will be finished soon.. Well i scored a mint as 10a rx3 dash top, no need for a resto job on it yet, as it seems to be holding its shape and texture of skin Scourced some more fiddly bits aswell for the conversion.. The centre set-up is the last to scource for the dash set-up, still deciding whether to go savanna as planned or if moneys short go rx3 for now.. but than it wouldnt be a savanna.. Restoring this now.. fiddly bits everywhere.. Well, happy easter.. or not, as i got to wake up 2 two big dents on passenger and pass rear door.. fuckin scum.. this is now my daily for a short period, so i tidyied it up a bit.. for road sakes.. all nolathane bushes, and the leaves are being reset an 2 inches or so lower.. in a week or so..
  2. Completly stripped the cluster, Re-painted the inside fascia panel, satin black. Cleant the remainding parts of dust and dirt from 1970-something.. Armor all'd the faded bulb housings, re-placed the globes with Narva L.E.D wedge globes.. Hopefully will emit more light, and give off less heat when illuminated.. Came up a treat, still assembling it, and need to tidy a few things, and get the vent chromed.. Completely stripped, well 85%, took the speedo meter and rev meter apart after the shot was taken. Replaced felt inside vent housing, what the actual vent pivots on.. Re-painted inside fascia panel Speedo-meter before and after.. Bulb housings armor all drenched, hopefully will penetrate and rejuvenate old plastic.. Really just gay shit in general Scored some savanna lenses.. resto time, and 10a sticker kit.. Thanks 2 BIG O.. Before After.. next mission.. $$$ Got some modifications, going on with tail-lights.. a big improvement when finished.... but here they are stripped fully for now.. Taillights restored, the back one is the restored one.. Also re-foamed the edge of the cluster.., more thick, and less airated than previous foam.. Cleaning up s5 turb box, getting ready for rebuild.. SCORED raingutter trims, rx3 steelies, need 2 more though.. and received some taillights from ricky that he restored, to add to my pile of taillights.. also scored sill trims, and 3 window window trims, need 1 more trim for passenger rear.. thanks beefcake.. and for free.. owe him some gob big time..
  3. I got excited and started doing some resto work on my taillights, as most taillights are scratched etc.. I soaked the taillights, in warm HOT soapy water for 20-30 mins. Than using a hairdryer i heated up the sealant around the housing which holds the lenses on to it.. Than using my mommas butter knife, i lifted the sides gently, after heating each side away.. Than walla, the lenses off.. On the left is the restored lense, on the right is what it used to look like.. scored all my nolathane bushes, front end suspension etc.. need shocks for front and rear now.. any body know something abit better than standard inserts and shocks..? thanks to simon.. rx272 These arrived a week ago or so.. nos bonnet hindges and door handles.. dont need them new.. but hay... why not.. My front suspension parts, and nolathan bush kit for front and rear, just awaiting the sway bar kit.. Started on my headers Half way finished.. Took me just under a hour, not as easy as it looks.. but happy with end result.. My NOS Savanna mirrors... Badge Found my chrome window trim for tailgate.. sourcing some rain gutter chromes.. a mission.. ahead of me.. My bad boys.. Well ive stripped my rims apart, getting them ready for when i do the diff, so i know how much width i can have on rears.. with out tubs.. Getting new centre caps etc.. got new high tensile bolts, grade 5 they are.. does any body know what bolts they use? the rim repair shop said the high temsile grade 5 will be just fine..? Restored my reverse lenses, look hella glassy than the pic, doesnt do it justice.. Before.. After An started to restore every little bit on the dash, starting with cluster.. Im either replacing or restoring, right down to the little lenses, and felt strip in air vent.. Re-painting bits aswell, including numbers on gauge.. Am i a little too ocd'd out
