  2. Hey, whats this symbol mean? flashed up the other day while stuck in traffic. while we are at it whats the one beneath it too? cheers
  3. cool, cheers. its for a 4k and id heard that a 32/36 is too big, this may be slightly more in the size range then? is it hard to find another autochoke? or can i set up it with a manual choke somehow? cheers
  4. Hey, not much of a carb specialist but what size engine would this weber originally be on. I did a quick google and it looked like a ford 1600? But i wasnt sure if this "32 dgav 5e" would also be commonly called a 32/36 which ive heard is off a 2l ford engine? also it appears to be missing a linkage for the butterflie? at the top - is this for the choke? any help appreciated cheers
  5. also have one more strip down the side to finish, just have to wrestle the table saw out of the shed!
  6. carpentry update. Shag pad added in the van for weekend mishes. scored some sweet flooring timber off the old man, so made the most of it. will roll round with no mattress and chuck one in if we go away. wanna keep that mint timber visible underneath shot, plenty of storage, plus it hides the mussive lpg tank!
  7. haha, it is expensive, but i couldnt get a 4age into the 26 for anywhere near 1g. it would be 2g minimum i reckon, unless you have super sweet hookups and skills. not sure if he would take less than his start price? or if it is actually as mint as i think it would be for a 60,000km 2001 k engine Its for the chicks car, so more after reliability and original spec than power. chur
  8. Hey, just curious if anyone knows if this engine: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 156490.htm would be a direct (ish) replacement for a standard 4k in ke26? exhaust may be different but would the mounts for engine and gearbox be the same? also looks like a few more vacuum hoses from the carb than the standard 4k? cheers
  9. Slight update, pulled the leaf springs - off to snells - new leaf added plus an inch lower. fitted back in without any dramas - yeows! rides much better now even with being lower, its got bout 20-30mm before the bumps. also added a sweet "nissan, 50th anniversary" badge to the front haha took the rear seats apart as they still smelled like cats, washed the covers and sowed up the rips put back on. soo much better, gotta do the same to the front seats now. also - anyone know Japanese? fuse cover: that's all i got for now
  10. Could have been me, i shot down to hamiltON to pick up the racks on saturday.
  11. with a set of racks. haha had the lpg system overhauld and runs way smoother and cheeper now! still small leak at the tank so back to the LPG guys early next week. dan
  12. got some wheel bands, rims looks mint now! . still in much need of rear lowerage, just gotta find a couple days free so i can pull out the leafs and drop them down to snell springs. they reakon about $150 and 1 days turn around, so hopefully they stick to that? the muppets who put the whitewall tyres on the rims ripped the bead and fukt one of my tyres! soo pissed cheers
  13. Got me some new bump stops fabricated - thanks to blair aka "NVMYVL" - cheers bro -------- legend new bumps = more room to lower - yess. Next stop, reset leaves
  14. these are outta the homy van, if the wagon had bumps that big itd look like it was on stilts. haha might check dx bumpstops to see what they look like cheers
  15. Is it possible to get bump stops re molded onto this bracket again? existing ones are spliting - would also like them with less height to allow lowering. otherwise was going to lop off the last section of rubber - still means they have cracks (cant quite see in photo) and are likely to fall apart if they are getting ridden hard...? other option is to get the bracket cut and welded flat as per the red line with new holes drilled..?: however, i would imagine welding is likely to burn the rubber? Any ideas?
  16. im a bit slow in progress but its coming along. at the moment im trying to organise lowering the rear. have taken out the bump stops and will be trying to sort out modifying them..... As can be seen they are kinda starting to split = no good. will be trying to find out if anyone can re-mount new rubber onto them? also was planning on looking into getting the metal bracket "lowered" to gain me an extra inch or so - something like the red line in photo, and get new holes drilled so i can bolt it to the chassis again? . have also picked up some new steel rims - sand blasted and painted them black, also got me some whitewall tyres coming up from napier so will be looking forward to their arrival and installation! then might try get some chrome wheel bands to top it off....
  17. yea seen that one. keen on some parts off it haha, pity its too far away.... someone should buy it though!
  18. f%$K!! that looks sick.... definitely gotta get it lower and find me some steel rims for it!
  19. found the relay, gave it a little tap, problem solved (for the next little while anyway). cheers for the help!
  20. hey, yea man it turned out pretty sweet aye. im stoked with it! Keegans a sweet as dude, glad you suggested him!
  21. started a project thread so this is on the go now! anyone know if nissan ute - navara? drop spindles would fit? or is that definitely not gonna happen? cheers
  22. Picked this puppy up from Chch, flew down and drove it back up to AKL via the Naki. Drove mint all the way which was a good test for it. 1.8L Z18 motor on LPG, manual. looked like a true piece when i picked it up, been sprayed the Canterbury colours but had faded light red/pink plus had one brown door. Got it back from the painters last week and have just started putting it back together cleaning the crap out of it. next mish is lowering it, currently sits on the bumps up front (torsion bars) so i wanna know if nissan ute drop spindles would fit??? also need to sus out the leafs in the back. anyway heres some shots what it initially looked like: sweet interior: new shots after paint: will update shots as i sort it out.
  23. haha, that did come out wrong, Of course i know where the indicator stalk is, otherwise i wouldn't even know i had the problem!!!. I meant that the problem might be "where the indicator stalk is". it will stick on either side, ill have a hunt to find the indicator relays and check them. will let you know the outcome cheers
