I've not heard of another sedan (that I can think of at least, but that's not saying much as I'm terrible for memory) the only other one I've heard of is a coupe. Not sure where it is though.
I know of one now in Welly (unsure if coupe or sedan) but my friend said he tried to buy it and the owner refused any price.
C110s are more common here, usually the 240k variant, you have some right Kyteler?

It was like that when he got it so done in Japan I would say. Seems a relatively common exercise.
Yeah, usually from rust problems but that's how the GT-R came so also common to emulate that style.
I've now been in touch with Aaron so that's cool, I've heard there could be a third around, anyone know ?

The look on peoples faces when it went from a decrepit wreck to a beautiful car that was casually wheeled out onto a trailer after the auction was priceless.
Enough of Aarons one thuogh..
What are your plans? Triples at the very least, I hope?
For now just get it going and do rust removal. Future I'd love triples and L28 for sure. Also would like to put it back to red, that colour is really nice and a bit different from most of the silver ones you see around.
Did you need those shipping/compliance cost breakdowns still, Alex? Or have you got that side of things sussed?
Nah got the goods from Ewan should be sweet
Aaron's one looks really nice, I see the rear guard is cut, rust problems there for his one or more style?

Oh shit was stolen, I remember it being strangely cheap and almost bid but was super sceptical.. for good reason. At least he got it in the end.

Thanks all, yes if anyone knows of more or has contact of some in NZ that would be excellent for parts and general networking. I saw one for sale in average/poor condition on Trademe some years ago.. I suspect that is the one you guys are talking about?

So I've been looking for a hako for about 4 years now, keeping an eye on the prices and how quickly they seem to be appreciating in price as the world notices them (thanks RM Sotheby's) and with some hard saving I've been able to finally make a purchase.
The car is a 1971 2000GT with L20 engine and 5 speed. Unknown ks, bit of rust around the place (wouldn't be one without it) but overall a fairly solid start. I purchased this from Restored.jp who some may be familiar with, they make aftermarket FRP and carbon parts for old cars like that Hako. This was the owners personal car.. whether that's good or not is yet to be known but it's a nice story anyway.
I'd be interested to have contact with other owners of Hakos in NZ as it would be handy for parts and general networking. I'll be working on this in stages (as I'm now broke) to get this up to road legal spec..
More to come but I've already figured a couple things I need to do before it's even here ! I understand there are several in NZ already, any coupes or road legal ones?

Hi, have you heard of our lord and savory Cheesus Crust?
-
Hi Geoff
-
Sounds like someone created a profile just to bag on buyee, work for the competition perhaps?
If not (you must be one hell of a night owl to sign up at 5am one day and post at 4am the following) how about an indication of what you bought and some photos to show proof.....
Wasn't me haha, wouldn't be caught dead awake at 4am

do you have them in stock?
Every now and then I get in a few for stock but usually sell quickly so at the moment getting from overseas as required.
-
Yeah if you guys want a local option we sell alot of Nardi
-
The newer ones are V12 which can come in (talking really new though).. older ones V8 yes it can but otherwise.. not so lucky. I don't think you will get it under special interest.

Flick me a PM, we can do direct from Yahoo

Jesse streeter +1 here,
Cant recommend him highly enough, replies within a few hours, prompt shipping, and extremely reasonable pricing.
To give you a idea, my diff from Ewan 10months till it arrived. Jesse Streeter 2 weeks for a set of wheels..
Diff heads etc can be shipped in sea post without issue as well.. not quite a fair comparison
For cars though, yeah you can contact Stacked as well Ewan and them can do those.
R100: This is a parts car auction, so you ask them for bits yeah. Usually really difficult to get what you want too in these kind of auctions >_<

Yahoo's the best place you'll find the rare wheels

What's the pricing structure with ml racing now involved? It used to be pretty damn sharp when dealing with just Ewan/hayatonka. I'm probably looking at bringing in some rims for a new project soon so I'll be stating to explore my options again!
We actually use Ewan's worksheets and all his stuff. In a nutshell you still pay direct to Stacked etc but we just do the paperwork so pricing is still structured in the same way Ewan does it as we both use the same system
-
Yeah Ewan has become too busy so we run their NZ side now and can place bids directly. Flick me a PM with what you're after

Don't suppose anyone in NZ can do 19" outer lips?
-
Sorry, thread hijack. Is there anyone in NZ that does 19" outer lips? Wheels in question are Weds Kranze Bazreiea
-
Heh there are many you can look through. Car-Sensor, Tradecarview, Goo-Net to name a few
-
Yeah it's a bugger about the not even open Saturdays or whatever.. I thought that would be possible too but guess that's the way it is for now
If you're collecting for others make sure you have the job numbers as well.

Not surprisingly pretty much all of them are R grade haha
Something similar happened in the UK a few years back. A L20ET powered HR30 coupe was sold to a reputable workshop/tuning house as a collectable DR30 RS-X (presumably for DR30 money as well).
There's nothing wrong with replicas, but misrepresentation is all kinds of terrible.
That GT-X is R grade too :/
