Just put my reg in, Karl can you please +1 me as Danni will be coming.
I will have 2 seats spare for a comfy trip or 3 for a not as comfy trip. I think some people voiced interest a while back, let me know if anyone is keen. I shouldn't need to take people up from Christchurch (ie Christchurch locals) this time as Hanmer isn't far away and most people can take their own daily or whatever if it comes down to it, so anyone from up North that needs a seat will get preferential treatment.

Yeah I am.

Awesome bro! Well done. They sound like a tractor until you give them some revs, then its glorious.

I meant to take some pictures of the mod but can only do it on a hoist as car is too slammed to see under it haha. Basically there is a small factory notch in your rear suspension subframe where the exhaust passes under it. Get someone to cut out and reinforce this notch so the exhaust tucks right up into the subframe, so it essentially passes through it rather than under it. Allows you to get your exhaust sitting up real nice and high.
I am going to go single when I pop my twins. Y pipe/manifold + Turbo + Intake mods + Gen 3 1GGTE injectors = done.

Shit yes, so excited for you bro.
-
Its way quieter than NA. I have straight 2.5 inch all the way from turbos with a hotdog at about the the drivers foot well. Doesnt drone at 100ks at all. Nice and loud outside of the car when you give it some shit but still quiet enough when you nanna it.
I had my exhaust all re-routed and got mods to my subframe done, I could have my car at 10mm and the exhaust wouldnt touch the ground. The chassis hits the ground first. If you dont go 3 inch you will be able to tuck the exhaust.

Hello Sir Mod Andy. I shall attend.
-
Thanks guys. Had a reasonable haul to Timaru at the weekend and well happy with the exhaust. Simon at SurFab is the man for any fabrication/exhaust work. Single will come when the twins tire out.

Sump guard has been made and fitted. Cressida front lip has been modded and fitted. New downpipe, new flexi and muffler removal all done.
Heres a video, pics to come.

Yeah I have found a solution. Seperate CB and PA systems I think. Electronics everywhere!!
-
I am in the process of gathering the parts needed to get a CB in my car.
Probably going to get something like this:
http://www.gme.net.au/products/radio-communications/27mhz-cb-radios/TX2700
Does anyone know how/if its possible to output via the external speaker from the Mic?
I know that it takes an external speaker but I assume that this would just play out loud what the CB is receiving. Is it normal for a CB to have a function to work as a loud speaker?

Yeah air is cheating haha. Although if I had the money I would consider air cups.

Never mind Christchurch roads. How about getting totally beached in your own driveway!
Had to get towed out.

Wound boost up a week or two a go. Was a crazy mad mission to get the controller on. Hitting about 12pounds now and it makes a decent difference.
Car has been nick named the whisper jet because it is so quiet so going in on Wednesday for straight pipes. Hoping to get it sounding pretty wild, will post vids after pipes are in.

Updates ANT. Is it turbs yet? I wound up my boost and she warps now. Also, I need to pilfer some parts.
-
You'll be beached as on our chch roads lol, most drains seem to stick up higher than that now grrr
I rep Christchurch at 50mm and its all good.

I would avoid using anything but the winged sump if you can help it. I know of 2 1GGTES running bearings whilst under hard cornering/swinging donuts. He is adament that it starved the bearings of oil both times and has since run a winged sump with no issues.
Kind of makes sense in my mind, why would Toyota have made such a huge sump for the 1GGTE compared to the 1GGEU. It takes about 2 more litres of oil than the standard sumps.
EDIT:
I got a winged sump for my 1GGTE, you will need the front sump version and AFAIK the Supra sumps are not front, they are middle or rear. My front sump came from a factory 1GGTE GX8x Mark II. Apparantly front winged sumps are rediculously hard to find. I would try finding one first as it will all just slot straight in without any mods.
