Bought a FA50 last weekend, worked for about 15 mins, would only work on half throttle, then would konk out when you tried to give it anything more. No won't start at all.

Been sitting for a while, so I was thinking, new spark plug, new gas, try and clean out the carb (anyone got any instruction on how to get it off and best cleaning method), and change air filter for a little poddy thing off trademe.

Anyone have any further suggestions. Thinking maybe clean out the exhaust, how would one go about doing this easily.

Also, what would be the suitable gear oil for this, I am pretty sure there is none in there

No trademe at work, but was is the price difference between one of the Chinese ones and the one you eventually wanna get? Not worth just waiting a couple more weeks and getting a good one? Just seems like if you buy the Chinese one, once you are finished with it the only money you will get back is through scrap metal!! I mean would you buy a 2nd hand chinese turbo??
