Mate of mine selling a firteenbeetee:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1126500727
Told him I would post it up here - think price is negotiable, he also has a KE30 shell that once was home to the motor in his other listings...
-
Ooo while we're at it then can anyone get me a sharp price on a thermo switch for a K series (2K in KP60 starlet)?
-
Sold on Trademe for ~$6500 three months ago. Now back on Trademe for $12,000 buy now.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/mazda/auction-1050786286.htm
Even if it sold for the $8000 start price that's a whopping 92% p.a. return on investment, better than the bank could ever give!
This is a mate of mines - he's actually a member on here but doesn't come on much. He definitely paid a lot more than $6500 - not sure where you pulled that figure from?

Mate of mine just put this on Trademe - would struggle to find a tidier one.

There's heaps on their FB page.
Pretty epic day, even without taking a rotary down.
I had a barrel of laughs just being a passenger in a couple of cars

Got a bluetooth speaker from a mate for xmas which comes in handy for those oldschool whips with no headunit!

Usually just take a good dose of goodluck haha - to be fair though I have never been thaaaat far in an oldschool whip.
I usually have an assortment of things stashed in the glovebox - a torch with flat battery, 4 pens (3 which don't work), a solitary cable tie, 4 flathead screwdrivers (but no phillips) etc...
-
Luce/Rx4 on trademe at the moment, 20g and hasn't met reserve yet....

/mate bought a tidy brown one off the same dude a few weeks ago for quite a bit more.
-
Yes.
I was going to chuck a sneaky bid on, but figured that was money better spent on other things.
I chucked a few bids on it, I too thought it would've sold for a lot more!

Steve at Tidycar in Haining Street also knows his way around a carby, have used him in the past with good results.
-
Mean! I'm passenger in the Gem (your old one?) at the 9 minute mark in your video
-
I am loving this car/thread, can wait for the next installment either!

Rust in the door bottoms etc, wont have the firewall rust issues like a KE. Chuck a bridgey in it and bang some hoes
Yup, bottom of all of my doors are showing, patched some wof before last
Being a two door less doors to rust out!!

It also has the more sought after sunk in front.
I have a 82, great cars, really easy to work on, the standard motors aren't too bad, I have a 5 speed I will get around to putting into mine someday soon.
A lot of them end up with rotaries in them, what were you thinking you'd do with yours?
-
Interesting concept.
I personally have no need for a garage at home, as the most I am likely to do myself is an oil change or something. However, I have mates that have lock ups, and end up there most weekends working on something (not often doing much myself, but just drinking beers and shooting the shit).
Not sure what my point is.... I like the idea, but how profitable would it be - ie most car dudes would already have either a garage at home or a lockup that they can keep their car in.
Just the first thing that came to mind though! Obviously could be used for more than just car stuff....
-
The good thing about some french stuff is it has a bit of a stigma of being rubbish/unreliable, so can therefore be picked up cheap as chips!!
I had a Citroen ZX GTI thingy for a while, got it for $1000 or something, 1994, 2L, 5 speed, plenty of power etc. At the time I couldn't have bought much in the way of a Jappa, and this thing was fairly high specced.
Had to get it a new radiator, which is to be expected for a car of that age, cos about $500 though - couldnt find one at the wreckers like you could if it was a Toyota/Honda Civic or something though....

Is there a build thread for this one somewhere? I'd love to have a look - I can see the link in your signature no longer works...
EDIT: The Chevette you built I mean, I have viewed and admired the Viva!
-
What is this "future owners"? You are not allowed to sell.
Also, congrats on engagement bruh, always thought/fantasized you liked the boiz
-
Hell yeah Geoff!! I'll need to come have an up close geeze/rub all over of this thing. Is it Rego on hold? What are the plans for it?
-
I admired this at the Auto Clique meet yesterday! Very cool and sounded the tits driving off!
I was passenger in the Lotus Replica.
-
If you have no luck with the above I have a mate with a lockup that could potentially have a space for a short period of time. PM me if need be and I can hit him up for you.

What have you chaps used for this?
Hoping some other readily available spring can go in for a bit of low. Asking for a mate, not keen on chopping factory springs in case we cant find replacements WOF time...
