Im not worried if i destroy the front panel, Its allready shagged so i will have to get one from palmside at a latert date

So i managed to scam today off work so thought id have a go at getting the front guards off.

To do this, i need to get the doors off. which are not bolt on

Does any one have any tips for getting the door pins out without using the grinder and hating myself afterwards?

thanks for the link, mine has the factory towball fitted i was going to use that somehow but wasnt sure how to do the front.

would the towball be a good idea or am i best to do something a little more substantial?

get two engine stands, make it taller and put a big piece of box pipe shit on it that bolts onto chassis rails. Done

can i get a pic of this done? I had thought they were very technical, well designed peices of engineering.

But they can be done with 2x supercheap eninge stand??

Hi, I have a mk1 2 door escort i am rebuilding, it a 1300 super, and i have brought a mk2 1600 ghia to use as a donor car which i want to use the motor box and diff out of. How do i go about adjusting the speedo to suit the new ratios?

Or am i better to use the existing box/diff and just swap the engine over?
