  1. Don't have any pics sorry, It is only a small amount but seems strange considering it hasn't been used yet. Bearings packed by hand and centre of rotor cavity filled with grease. I applied grease generously to the area between the rear bearing and dust seal. Also around the nut at the front.

  2. Hi all, quick question.. Am currently replacing front wheel bearings on an old mazda, i have noticed after a week or so of doing the job, (car hasn't been used, still on jack stands in shed) the grease is weeping out of the underside of the dust cap on the front and some on the rear rotor seal too, not enough to drip but there is a build up. Is this normal? was thinking maybe after some regular use it may clear up. The grease is Nulon extreme performance L80. wondering if i continue with the same grease for the bearings on the other side.

  3. Has anybody had experience with fitting rear seat belts to a car that had none from the factory?

how did you go about it and is there any specifics regarding things like the backing plate size/thickness when you bolt thru the floor? Just wanting to fit some basic 3point belts.

  4. Hi all, i am wanting to repaint the inside of my ute tray with hippo 2pak bed liner.

The deck has been stripped back to clean bare metal. Being a ute deck i want the hippo liner to have a solid base to stick to. As a primer i was going to use a 2pak epoxy primer.

The question i have is it ok to brush it on? It may take abit longer to apply but i want to save the mess and hassle of having to spray when surface finish is not important as the hippo liner going on top is heavily textured anyhow.

  5. Has anybody had any experience with the alloy radiators for sale on the tard? In particular the cheap $200ish no name brand radiators from various sellers on the site.

All the sellers write in there blurb how great they are, suitable for racing, extra cooling etc etc

    do they actually perform/last?

  6. Hi all, Iam after some advice.

I have a garden trailer with 13" 5 stud wheels from a 1964 Ford Zephyr.

Does anybody know what modern and easily available rim i could get to replace these original ones with (they have bad rust)

I was thinking maybe a 90's Telstar or mondeo? I have noticed they are also 5 stud and plenty around. but i am only guessing here. offset is not important at all.

    any advice much appreciated

    cheers!

  7. Go for it. They are very robust and reliable truck. Cheap and easy to run and maintain. Yes its compatable with all other 620's parts wise. As a bonus they are such cool looking trucks. Google images will give you some examples.

  8. What is required document wise to register an Australian import?

I brought a 70's car that was brought in privately by previous owner. car has maf and nzta sticker on windscreen and I have a written purchase agreement but that is it. He owned the car in queensland but I believe it was unregistered the 6 years or so he had it over there. So I don't have any Australian reg/ownership documentation. wondering if this will be a problem? and if I need to show recipts from the freight of the car to n.z? I had a look on nzta site but its very generic and dosnt give any hard info on whats required paper work wise. Has anybody been thru this process and could shed some light on it?
