Finally getting round to do some work on my escort, I have spoken to my boss and I'm taking 1 week off in june and 1 week off in july and I'm allowed to take my escort into work and work on it during my time off.  Would anyone be able to help me transport the car in and out (porirua to town) or know anyone that would? I would prefer to trailer it in due to the gorge, or even pay a tow truck if anyone knows or can recommend someone.

from memory the ali cover is just a step plate at the top?

the rust will be more visible from the bottom(not under the plates)

again same as the rear arch the rust starts from the inside not the outside so by the time you can see it its rotten

/buy a XJS V12 your mum will luv it!

They rust out real bad on the rear arches from the inside so if you can see the rust on the outside it probably mean new rear arches, they also rust around the head lights.  I could be wrong but I assum you could pick these up pretty cheap as they aren't very sort after
