Yep, made by McLeod Clutches in Texas, USA
The first couple minutes of this link will show you how these work and fully adjustable
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW_QHZM0qN8
Possibly source ex-Ebay?
Or from the manufacturer, these can be had with or without the master cylinder

Lots of discussion on USA forums as this is a fairly common setup, LS-1 Forums, Corvette, etc.

Any shops that can recalibrate a cable- drive speedo? I have replaced a Borgwarner 35 Auto with a Toyota 5 speed and the ratios are wrong: easiest way is to pop the speedo out of the dash and have the gearing changed: used to be a specialist in Oz, but he is retired now, another shop in South Island but I have lost their address... any help appreciated!

Thanks for info., much appreciated!

Nah, keep the seat, but I see an "Easy Rider" bike in the making....

Honda Dream 50 has a "Cafe Racer" seat, AC-15 chassis type, you could order through a Honda bike dealer; p/no. 77100-GCR-000 for the padded seat + 87150-GCR-000ZB for the cowl, which comes painted in Silver
also: DiscoVolante in the UK are "Cafe Racer" central, post worldwide + have over 100 different seats/seat bases here: ( might give you some styling cues if you're into a DIY! )

Prince was its own independent company before the mid-60's Nissan takeover; this wasn't popular in Japan with Prince dealers, who considered their cars much superior to Nissans, there are still older Nissan dealerships that signpost themselves "Prince" in Japan
"Prince" had that name because members of the Japanese royal family owned Prince cars
The "Prince" name was so well regarded in Oz and NZ, that later cars like the Gloria were badged as Princes years after the Japanese domestic models had changed over to Nissan badging
I saw a Station wagon version of your car for sale in Auckland around 1993, 2-tone blue, it was a gem
Probably the rarest car on this forum.....

I have seen 290hp at the flywheel and it wasn't to hard, but useless for the street.
The torque was impressive though it was almost the same in ft/lbs which is very good for such a small engine.
There is a place in Aussie that only rebuilds rover and Leyland V8s. I can't remember their name but the make them 5.2ltr with windsor crank shafts and different liners etc.
Holden antipump lifters fit easily and are cheap but I am still trying to get the roller cam followers part number that goes straight in. That was the biggest win with the Hp of the mentioned one above. Oil pump was an issue and I can't remember the restrictor sizes we used as they have a bad habbit of flooding the top end and staving the bottom.
Anymore info on the cam Jase?
Corey
YellaTerra YT-6000; this Roller rocker set use the Rover rocker shafts + are a direct replacement for the Rover rocker arms
Oil pump: start with a 3.9 Disco block as these have an improved oil pump system that runs off the crank
Budget stroker Rover motor: start with a 3.9 Disco block; have it aligned bored to take a Leyland P76 crank ( + crank bearings ) use Chev. 327 small journal conrods + have the bores sleeved; there are several pistons will do the job + you're looking at 5.00 litres plus. Use ARP fasteners for conrod bolts + ARP studs for heads + bearing caps
Tough part is finding a P76 manual flywheel; quite a rare part now, if you're going to use a manual trans. These aren't the same as Rover manual flywheels tho' both take a 9 1/2in clutch

Thanks for that!

keep us posted on how you get on
Picture's not my car, but very similar
Cylinder heads ( SD-1 Vitesse ) ready to go on a 3.9 Discovery block Hardened valve seats mean using unleaded gas ( or LPG ) are OK
All the injection stuff has gone + replaced by Carbs
OK, will take a while but I'll post progress as it happens
Thanks to all who have posted!

Thanks, good advice! Trying to avoid the Rover 5 speed as these are just too uncommon + prices on Trademe show that people do pay up large for these
Expect the driveshaft will need to be modified then balanced; getting the speedo to work accurately wll probably be the biggest challenge after the pedal box
Cars a dailly driver

depends what you want it for. maybe worth sourcing a 5spd out of an sd1 vandlenplas, although it will be hard, it's probably only going to cost you about the same amount as a toyota box, which you will want to use a w55 or similar.....you'll also not need an adaptor and may even be able to use your standard driveshaft maybe? could be a direct bolt in.
if you're going for a box that you can beat a bit then definitely the toyota item. jsut to get it manual and for economies sake, see what you can find by way of sd1 stuff.
on the topic of pedal boxes, if the tc one fits then go for that, otherwise you're looking at fabricating it from scratch. if you find a donor car get as much of the pedal assembly as you can... master cylinder and clutch lines etc as you may be able to use these.
