Yea thats the guide im using to build them from. Just that the size of my struts doesn't seem to be as easy to find tube for. Will try steel and tube tomorrow if I can. Anyone know which Wellington branch I should be going to?

Not yet. Need to finish work early one day to get in there

I reckon I'll have a car stereo, engine mounts and some steel wheels and tyres to sell.
Any of your steel wheels happen to be ex police steels?

Theres a place in upper hutt that a family friend just got some done and power coated for around $ 40 each for blasting and pc. Dont know the name but cant be to many places there.

When i had trouble with this just ended up buying a good set of 2nd hand arms as was to much hassle at the time to remove, measure match up or have some made.

I'm looking to buy a mig in Wellington, about the$1k mark.
the ones boc sell are semi-synergic, meaning you put in the voltage and it does the wire speed automatically. Sounds handy, but it's set up for 0.8 only so not really any good for rusty old panel steel.
anyone tried the tool shed ones? $900 for their inverter one, 60% at 180a which should be plenty for 99% off what I want a mig for. nice and portable for working in the car and goes down to 20a.
I'd rather but one locally so I can bring it back when it breaks.
I have a toolshed 180 amp mig.
Is really simple to set up and has always worked fine for what ive used it for. The guys in at toolshed are really helpful too if you have any problems with it.

Have been told springworks dont do automotive anymore. They are in seaview now also down by turners auctions.

My 2c (please ignore if i am wrong)
hks 4-1 vs trd vs stock 20v (blacktop) the stock headers are morebeffective and make more power. Toyota did a very good job with them and unless you are making over 210hp na you don't need to change.
I did a lot of research when building the exhaust for 82 and everytime the same question was asked the dyno results showed the slightly larger blacktop headers were the best by far. So hit up bling or someone with a blacktop for sale, buy the headers and you will be sweet.
The hks 4-1 uses 768mm primaries. And are designed for 7,000rpm plus on a stock 4a will loose you power. If they are guiniune hks ones they are very rear. Most ones are copies (pretty much all are). You could get some good money for them.
Will stock blacktop work in rwd configuration tho because thats what the op is doing.
