i would go for one of those if i had $700 spare to buy 1... but yeah ive seen and heard most slant guys saying 350s are the way to go... got a spare or two do ya bart?

Just bought a factory D100 2 barrel manifold for the slant 6 comes with a Holley 2280 on it.
Hopefully cam picks it up today (thanks cam)
I have a Carter BBD at home too , both carbs will need a rebuild, any one have thoughts on what carb would be better?/ easier for parts?/easier to tune?
also may need a new air cleaner setup if anyone has something floating around...?

does this have a twin barrel carb?

also if its the gas bottle your worried about , BOC now do the " D Scheme" which is suitable to the home handyman , where as its $200 a year and you get a d size gas bottle and in the first year 1 free refill/if you take it in just before your year clicks over then you have a fresh one for the second year and 1 in the bank... just a thought if u didnt know...
I use this... have done many perk jobs , built a ballustrade which used like half a bottle of gas , still had enough after all that to do my valiant sills then took bottle in for free one last week...

old mate bought a new repco gas/gasless welder - was terrible wouldnt recommend ... just have to take the $ hit now and buy a good one , honestly once you have it you will realise its money well spent... and your half way to having a good one with $350 ...
this weldwell steady mig is starting at $200 but will likely go for more... but worth it imo... you will always need a welder! and this would be a great starter
-
dont buy it... get an just get a second hand mig welder , other wise you will just be buying another welder in 6 months when you work out that its crap and gasless welding is useless for thin materials... ! you totally get what you pay for when it comes to welders...I bought a Cigweld Transmig 210a for $800 off trademe and its awesome! must be 20+ years old , but i can still buy new parts for it from BOC ..
