Mechanical Injection rox my sox off
Good to see someone putin it on rather than takin it off, seen too many geezers turn tr5's and the like into gutless heaps
with su's ppl are scared of the Lucas injection like its witchcraft
Basic as compared to modern systems.
Mint trumpy, keen to get another now after seeing your one.

Don't you mean........ Is your head cast iron or aluminium?
Ha stoned typing strikes again..
550 seems reasonable but bargain him and do it !!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a scientifically proven fact that webers in pairs makes your driving improve tenfold....

Is your iron head or steel????
If steel you will need the iron head, why not put the strombergs on????
Had a Holbay Rapier which uses same motor with twin webers factory and it flew
But made my previous one just as fast with basic porting, good extractors and strombergs
Not called the hunter grunter for nuthin..
Webers do make a wicked sound that is worth every cent tho

Had same problem with Ryco- Repco oil filters on mercedes 102 and 103 motors in 190E and 300E's and alike, sudden drop in oil pressure at speed or at idle after long run was cured instantly by just spinning on the genuine item..
Purrflux manufactured from memory, think sometimes with aftermarket parts suppliers close is good enough in terms of fitting, the non-return valve was at the bottom of the filter in the repco reccomended part whereas the valve on the benz filter is at the top due to the filters being mounted high and upside down..
Also gave up on fram when the filter on my Sunbeam Rapier rusted through and dumped its oil in two secons flat on the way to work, it was less than six months old!! Rusted faster than british steel- that must be a record!!

Picked this up from outer Hamilton, only one owner from new!! Sat for last twenty years even has the carless day sticker still on....
Got running the other day after rebuilding fuel pump, drove around block even has brakes still but clutch rusted up, not enough power to split the two on the road.. 10 hp sidevalve old R.A.C rating tho.. bout thirty of todays ponies.
body really straight was going to do a rat rod but going to go for the restored/ mild custom look
