  1. Dropped off to the blasters Cant wait to see how it turns out
  2. Im running them on my daily Mk1 four door , currently have moved them into my racecar for the cert . I can post picture if you want to see them
  3. Had a successful follow up Cert inspection and have been given the thumbs up to go ahead with panel and paint The big strip down to a bare shell commences Next stop , the media blasters
  4. Had to make up new extensions to the exhaust to meet the cert reg's longer one is a side exit for the street and the far one is short dumpy for the track
  5. Trademe speacial Jolly wheels - fronts 13x8's rears 13x10's with dunlop slicks

Kemp Road (waiuku) Hillclimb run by the MG car club Line up of Escorts Mine - Pinto powered (red one) Bills - Pinto Powered (green one) Dav's - Crossflow Powered (blue one) Marty's - Crossflow powered and on the last run this happened The exhaust got pushed into one of the 4 link bars and put it a bit out of shape Guards cracked from the impact rear panels got a few bumps now and so does the rear quarter luckily the rear tow hook took most of the impact and sheared off

  9. got the 14" wheels blasted and painted and some new semi slicks wrapped on them Hampton Downs Bound
  10. Merry Christmas " Project Alan Mann " New Wheels and Tyres Dragged the four door out for a photo too
  11. Got some bushes machined up to press into the pedal Should be cert worthy now Tunnel extension to stop the drive shaft touching the floor
  12. Had some rubbing issues at Puke so have spaced the rear calipers Back together Made up a new support for the handbrake as part of my rectification for the certification / MSNZ regs Getting a new brake pedal water cut so my pedal box can pass cert
  13. Too Much fun Until this happened Great first outing in the car , a few setup issues with the pedal box and then tyres that didnt want to stay on , but overall very happy
  14. The initial cert inspection went well , I have a list of 30 things to rectify. I've got myself a fair few jobs to get through now , nothing major though so Im very happy Last minute jobs before the first event Motorsport scrutineer has signed off the log book so we are good to go
  15. Weigh in time Loaded on the trailer ready for part 1 inspection for the cert

Found the reason the car wont turn over Lack of clearance between teeth on flywheel to starter motor causing it to bind Made some mods to the starter gear Turns over but but wont start properly checking over the carbs and found the accelerator pump assembly had come apart Back together again First start up....finally http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94XKnQGsmwM]
  18. Brake pads in , fluid topped up Bled the brakes Set the tappets , filled with oil and water almost time to start it
  19. Wiring Time with help from my trusty electrician "dad" Also made up a temporary centre console for the essential gauges
  20. gusseted the g/box crossmember made a driveshaft loop arranging some secondhand tyres and wheels for the track
  21. harnesses been fitted Driveshaft been made up breather tank and lines plumbed in
