A mercedes sprinter or vw crafter would be alright, certainly a lot nicer to drive than a truck and will be cheaper to run as well
Always wondered about those smaller capacity turbo diesels. How long do they go for? Do they pop over 200k?

Early 2000 Mitsubishi Canter/Fuso get good wraps as motor homes up to 300k assume if you can find the base truck they would be reliable. Think they roll a 3.6 non turbs diesel so will truck along for days.

Yep. Grandfather had one back in the day. Traded a Mk3 Zodiac for a manual Tasman then a year or so later traded that for an auto Kimberley. Reckoned they're good for an honest 100 mph. All down hill from there though. Two Allegros then a Civic which I've still got.
Pics of civic?

You are a sick c*nt. There are literally 7 people in NZ that like oldschool Mitsi’s. (They are probably the wisest 7 people in NZ but).

There’s a Facebook group for GTO owners in NZ maybe post there?

I use JAA Japanese auction agency. No complaints and have bought things from a small switch to a number of sets of wheels and always been straight forward. Delivers to your door and don’t have to wait for a container full to come over.

Kia ora for the korero. Poor old dude loves it but is moving into retirement village. I’d be keen if manual but also appeared to be poo poo no vtec spec. Thanks for all the feedback.

Have an old boy that comes into work that has a burgundy auto accord he has owned since new with 70-80k. Looking to sell as moving but. Had a good look at it today under all it’s seat covers, boot covers, clean engine bay and was impressed. He reckons Honda dealer will give him 2.5k and he would just hold on to it for that. It is mint. 2.2l auto. Exterior is pretty clean needs a good cut. What do you reckon it’s worth? I would be keen at low value but also keen to pass on owners details to foamers as have recently acquired a manual Honda that hauls.

Sent mine to auto springs in Auckland and they did a good job. Was a few years ago.

Never let any bastard fill my car after one incident.
Had the gto at the gas station, attendant dude came up and asked if I want it filled and I said yes. He watched me open the fuel door with the key and remove the gas cap.
As he filled it I went in store to pay. Waiting in line to pay I was watching out the glass window and saw him pull the nozzle out once full, dripping petrol on the car and then I watched with my balls in my mouth as he tried to slam the fuel door not 1,2 or 3 times progressively harder to close the door which required a key to close. On the fourth time he smashed it so hard with the heel of his hand it bent the locking arm and then he walked away with the door still swinging open. Could've ripped the cunts asshole out through his mouth at that stage.
Since then no cunt touches any of my cars regardless of how shit they are.

as for diversion, it is not available for traffic related offenses, only criminal offenses
Are you sure? I got diversion for careless use a few years ago.

The 10A engine is a replacement. He said that he had it replaced in 1973 under warranty and since then it's done only a few thousand km's.
Probably still under warranty now then.

Wanna sell it?

I believe Bruce McLaren once said he was that unlucky as a driver that if he became an undertaker, people would stop dying.

Car is down in Waikato somewhere. Will sort out some time to go look it over.
Cheers for the advice re carbs. Don't think the family will be too keen on WOT drives to the beach. Although I would.
What sort of $$ would a set of triple webers on a manifold fetch?

Total ling post but when I was 17 just before I went to uni a speed camera ticket turned up at home for my old lady’s car. Turns out I was the culprit. Had to pay the fine out of my uni funds. I still remember my dad reading the fine thing and telling me I was going faster than 80% of the people down that particular road and how disappointed he was. I was stung for 87 in a 50 so I was very impressed that 20% were doing more than that. Chicanes and all if anyone knows Fairway Drive in Whangarei. No pic sorry. Cost me about 400 bucks from memory. Many jugs in those days. (Couple years later dad told me he got pulled over for overtaking someone who was overtaking someone else. Cops were right behind him. Double standard cunt.)
