W115 Diesel. Sam also said your the man to talk to about mercs. Can I chuck w107 springs in w115 to get it lower? Not keen on butchering the originals.

Yeah she's fairly tidy but looks better in the pics. Nissan turbodiesel apparently bolts right up to the merc gbox so I'll keep an eye out.

Widebody has been through MAF and customs and head to compliance centre this week. That'll be interesting - I'll be gutted if that turns into a massive project thread to get it complied!

Was talking to Sam (with the crowns) sorry don't know his nick, and he said there is a Merc wrecker somewhere down south but I forget where - Anyone know where it is or know of any wreckers/parts for old mercs around Auckland? Seriously not looking to pay some of the money that some ebay sellers are looking for random bits and pieces.

I decided to buy a diesel merc. Wanted some chrome and ability to run on Vege oil in the future.

Picked this up - a 74 W115 220d which had approx 48 horsepower when new. It also weighs near 2 tonne so I'm not going to be winning any races in it.

Plans are to get it closer to the ground I think with W107 springs but not sure if this will work. It'll be fun trying.

It's in reasonable nick, no carpets inside, bit of a hole in the top of the rear seat, fan doesn't go etc.. and I know nothing about diesels so it's going to be a learning curve. Also waiting on some glow plugs at the moment so it also isn't running.
