As a young buck I always pined for a GTiR, never were that common, tough to find I good one now I bet.

What are CRXs and EG hondas doing at the moment?  They always have a scene.

I have been hunting for a tidy EG honda for a few months and flew to the north island with my partner to collect this in the weekend, NZ new EG5, even has the honda manual with Honda pen in it!

That leaky hose you got is not a factory fitment, rather an after-market oil feed to the head.

Some barry's reckon triumphs need them. Others say it's a waste of time #sharn etc.

I wouldn't feel bad about blocking it off with the right thread bolt and some thread tape and loosing it if it's being a pain.

Funny you say that, i was thinking it didn't look factory. Managed to get 1/2 turn out of the bolt last night and seems to have fixed the oil leak, will be checking again tonight, amazing how far oil can travel to make a mess. Short of that, ill be removing it if it still plays up

  4. Start of winter was driving along the one way in town and looked out the rear view mirror to a trail of oil followed by an oil light

    IMG_20171001_203439_232.jpg.dcdcb3c7f857742da24379193cbb7c39.jpgIMG_20171001_203439_237.jpg.31258a07d12dbe8ed75fd62c49957c4c.jpg

The rubber o ring on the filter gave way, blew most of its oil out. Luckily I was quick on it and flicked it off.

Changed the bumpers over to the early shape ones with no rubber strip

  5. Making abit of progress on this, got a spare door but turned out the original wasnt to bad with abit of lovin from a hammer

    2015-11-24%2018.16.30.jpg

Also picked up a set of globe wheels in 14x6

    2015-11-24%2016.58.28.jpg

    Have these aswell in 14x6

    2015-11-24%2016.59.00.jpg

Unsure which ones to go for, going to throw 195/50s or similar onto a set to lower it abit more. Leaning more towards the globes to keep it looking more original

  6. First of all, your wagon looks ace, you've done a top job on it!

Iv got a sedan tc and hopefully a PI soon all going well, im looking at getting some 15x8 -9 offset performance challanger wheels for my car. From what i can see the front should be bang on even though these will be a wee bit negative, whats it like in the rear? Is it rubbing or close to it?

  7. Got a fa50 in the weekend. Put a new plug and cap on it and was running much better so filled it up and went for a decent ride and it ran mint there and started fine on the return trip.

Next day there was fuel all over the ground and had a look and it was coming out of the botton nipple. So pulled carb off clean etc and was put back on and it stopped.

Started it just before tea and it was running fine but started leaking out the top nipple of the carb.

Rode it down to petrol station and on the way there it died twice, i thought it could be because it was getting low, then filled it up and went to start it and it wouldnt go and all the fuel was draining out so i gave up and pushed it home.

Any ideas? Iv tried to do my best to describe whats happening, cheers

  8. Entered a Grasskana with the Otago Sports Car Club as i wanted to give it a go and finished 12th out of 20 which i thought was good for a lowered rwd car in a paddock against a number of proper race car

    omd40005copy.jpg

    Also i acquired this

    p4262525copy.jpg

Cost me not alot with a good LSD which ill be converting to 4.11 ratio. Its a manual 323i, dead rego but its a better base than my previous cars

  9. So since i've lowered this, a loud clonking noise started to appear from the rear end, only when i had someone sitting in the back though. So i crawled around and felt the CV had alot of slop in it, like a lot.

    img20130308220431u.jpg

Was rusted out, about a half a cup of water fell out when i pulled the boot back.

A new shaft from my BMW parts dealer MillAnd, is about $1000 and the CV cant really be replaced. So my old man went and asked his mate who races this

    2uespkk.jpg

And got me a second hand one.

Boring update, but might be handy for those to keep in mind when thrashing a e30
