  1. a couple questions i was hoping someone (Cletus?) can halp with.

1 - whats the dealio with cutting a hole in the firewall to fit a dizzy? I assume it would need to be boxed in on the inside of car?

2 - is it all good to convert 4wd to RWD and leave front diff and cvs in place?

fire wall- thats fine if its boxed/as strong as it was before. theres not a lot of strength in the middle of the firewall anyway.

4wd to rwd is also ok. sometimes doesnt even need cert ie if its a live axle front like a patrol ect and the driveshaft is removed, its no different to the t/case being in 2wd

I was under the impression you had to have a cert just to remove the drive shaft

  2. seriously I'd be trying to get it done as a cashie by someone with good gear and experince etc, rather than spending that same amount on buying your own gear but ending up with a mess of a paint job. one of the painters at work is about to do a cashie on a buick (a lot bigger than an anglia) and he's charging $600, thats no prep work, car arrives ready to roll into the booth and the owner is supplying the paint

  3. as simon says, fish oil/cavity wax for places such as chassis rails, inside doors pillars etc, but for the likes of the patch you've just done I would've used a weld through primer and just sprayed all the parts involved.
