  1. Why not just make a restrictor plate for the tip if you're only wanting it for wof's?
  2. Cheers dude, that was actually rather encouraging. I guess sometimes we do get caught up trying to fit into other people's wants, and just need to take a step back and re-evaluate what we doing. Regards, Dave
  3. You make a good point Elliot, in all honesty I haven't though about creating that assembly of simmilar cars to an Mx-5, just stuck to MX-5 files. Not young, just new to the whole modification thing. I don't recall asking people too much about style, however, I've come to trust people's opinions on those subjects aswell. So no harm in asking if you make up your own mind in the end with knowledge gained.
  4. I was actually thinking of doing that; Or swapping. However I don't know how much I would get for them anything less than 800 and it wont be worth it yet ( due to the tires still being pretty much new )
  5. I think they are about a 40p offset. Mainly just want the wheels flush with the fender not sitting in 3" / It's probably more like 1" but looks 3" Regards
  6. I quite like them tbh. Agree that they need to be smaller though.
  7. Hey guys, Im actually curious, how does one get a wider stance on a car?? Is it just by the offset of the wheels? Im talking about 70mm wider each side, so going 3" wider mags isn't really practical. However, I guess if you have 6" mags with a 0pt offset then that will give you your 3" extra width? Are there any other methods of doing this? 70mm spacers aren't exactly a good idea. Regards Dave.
  8. haha chur, But people are allowed their own opinions in the end. It is the e-nets after all. I would say it was a worthwhile effort. It taught me alot about making exhaust systems. There's always a first for something, and in most people's eyes a first attempt will usually be shot, yet the maker will think it's the greatest thing due to the time and effort he put in. Won't be working on this for a while though. I'm busy working on the locost at tech, should hopefully be starting that beast up soon. Regards Dave
  9. Cheers guys. PM'd him, see what he says.
  10. Hey there guys. I'm trying to wire up the CA in the 7, however it feels like I'm getting nowhere because I don't even know where to start. I've never wired up a engine in my life. Can any of you chaps who have already swapped a CA provide pictures of what to do to get the engine running? Im using the stock CA e.f.i harness and ecu and the s13 dash aswell. Thanks for any help. Regards Dave
  11. Umm nah actually not ay. I tested it with a cup of roughly same diameter right next to tip during rain, and cup received hardly any water.
  12. wow, i could have saved myself alot of effort by just chopping some of those off.
  13. here are photo's of them painted. They got scratched a lil during installation which was lame
  14. That's what I was trying to capture. Where did I go wrong in your opinion?
  15. Not even a good work but not my cup of tea?? lol.
  16. Haha it's so semi boy racer spec isn't it. Ofcourse I know everyone secretly digs the design.
  17. gonna do the whole system whatever matt flame proof black is.
  18. would be mega lol. It's amazing how much quieter the 2 tail pipes have made the system.
  19. Yea I thought about that, but didn't know how much of an exhaust noise that would create, however, that is what I will do. I made the tips today so will drill them tomorrow. Or actually, I might jsut go drill them now.
  20. So I was busy making my exhaust tips, put both down under my car, come back and BAM! they're gone. Find oue on some dude's work bench so I'm like grab. But can't find the other one. Seriosly who steals an exhaust tip??
