  1. Has to have RETRACTABLE lap and diagonals in the front. There is a specific area in which the stalk has to be, its about 300mm square roughly, and same with the top mounting point for the diagonal, but thts a little bigger. Because its a 4 seater ( unlike a bucket) it cant have a roll bar because it will hinder entry/exit. Oh Its also gonna have no doors, kinda like this

    What about the rear seatbelts?

  2. Had a yarn to Guy at LVVTA today, he said paperwork for car is not in there database (due to it being a while ago), and that the original certifier is no longer in the game. But If I can prove with pics car was as it is now back in 99, they may be able to do something, also rang local cert guy to see if it will be a full recert or just an update (and cost), but he is on holiday till monday.

  3. thats annoying. dont spose youve still got the list of modifications that were sent to get the cert plate for the certifier? get some stamps, adjust cert plate to sui and go somewhere else.

I dont think doing a dodge on the plate would be a good idea, its not like its lower than whats on the plate, (in fact its 15mm higher so i can get up the driveway)

I'll pop down to mechanics tomorrow and have a discussion. (fingers crossed), otherwise it will be a re-cert

  4. Starion failed WOF today, on a couple of fair enough items, But got pinned back because Cert Plate says for lowered susp, not adj susp (is within height limits etc), but car was cert was back in 99 with same suspension in it. Has been through 10 years of WOF's since then.

here is the cert plate and WOF sheet , (censored for use on another forum)

Any thoughts or avenues i can look at ? The Fella who did the wof had left for the day by the time I had arrived to pick up car

  5. I was under the impression that the RX& box's moved the shifter position also... Check out Jason's thread on austarion, as he's doing the same thing.

So it is. looks like a 2wd b2600/b2200 box will be the go. Cheers guys :D (I already have the bellhousing/fork assy)

  6. Hey man not sure if you know, but using the RX7 box will move the shifter about 6 inches back from the standard position.

If you want to keep it where it is, go for a b26oo box - just as strong and keeps everything where it should be.

my research so far suggests that the s4/5 RX7 boxes are correct for shifter position. the s6 and later are 6 inches back.

only issue is that i think the heat transfer may damage the engine mount, what do you think ?

There is a factory engine mount heat shield that i will have to cut a hole in too
