  1. This is the current state of the exterior. I need to track down a front windscreen and fit the rear one. Also needing the blue cressida/Chaser bonnet badge if anyone has something and would like to find late model bumpers

There's some fettling to do on the front lights to get them to sit properly and track down the proper Chaser corner lights.

  2. Having a look at the rear end when test fitting some wheels yesterday. 20220902_115316.thumb.jpg.0176e223affb71d96912f32ba83a74f5.jpg

Being a nz model it has the solid rear end 7.1" E series diff. I've broken a few of these behind a pre vvti 2jzge so will likely upgrade to F series maybe even G series

There's a set of ae86 xyz rear coilovers which look to have a 10.5kg spring which seems way too stiff. It's also sitting on those bump stops currently so they will need to be deleted

  3. Last on the list (that im aware of) was this water leak coming from the back of head.

Most 1gge owners have issues with gasket sealing here so this was infuriating to see the gasket was in perfect condition and I was unable to remove it in one peice to transfer to the spare outlet.

I made up a paper gasket for the spare and it's held up so far so fingers crossed.

  4. Fitment is exceptional 20220810_192256.thumb.jpg.ad12e05a3b39e6fb06b93126544de11a.jpg

Now I can check the water in 3 easy steps instead of 20 minutes each way.

I still can not get the heater to blow hot no matter what I do, the tap doesn't feel seized and I've tried bleeding air with a bucket sized funnel sealed on filler neck and the heater hoses at back of engine feel very hot.

  5. This thing has always had a bit of a water leak most likely from the shit junction on top hose where there are 4 joints in 200mm (engine-filler cap-radiator) all on a bit of an angle and just average. Took it in to my radiator guy and he said to make a cardboard model of how I would like a filler neck added to passenger side 20220802_133556.thumb.jpg.4a383a1118234f8cc9298f4c36dd232d.jpg

The existing setup meant I had to remove drivers seat and 10 or so bolts for the engine cover. Moving it to passenger side means 3 buckles and I can check/fill water. Tempted to move dipstick over there also....

Dropped it off this afternoon with my cut up glad wrap roll. Hopefully back up and running for the weekend
