soo question,
if i have an alloy wheel with a solid hubcenter like these ssr mk1's, can i get a machinist to drill them for 4x100 in addition to the 4x114 pattern they already have without wof/cert/safety issues -
id rather stay with the shank and washers as im only missing 2 out of 16 nuts, still yet to do thread measurement though. will get there soon. yay for how relaxing the holidays between semesters are.
-
haha sounds a bit hard considering its not my car. but yeah ill find out the thread size and have a look at some shops etc. thanks man.
-
my flatmate brought a 1975 Austin Maxi 1750 which has 4x114.3 studpattern and ssr mkI's on it ium unsure of the thread measurement but it is imperial, unfortunatly these require shank and washer wheel nuts and were missing a few.
Can someone suggest where i can buy these? a fasteners, nuts and bolts shop? or would i be better off going to a performance parts shop? or just finding them online?
Ive had a quick look online but realised asking you knowledgeable fellows was a better idea.

Hah, get your facts straight before making assumptions perhaps? You seem keen to prove a point here but don't have the evidence on either of these guys to go flaming them.
Always keen to prove a point eh... This isn't about ripping on eachother, we should be whinging about the government .
If anything my point is that only the people causing the problems will really have anything to worry with these new laws. So they will be up in arms the most in this thread. How far from the truth do you think that is? Take note that half the replies have been along the lines of "this law won't affect me" and half "fuck this shits unfair what wankers!!".
Much like how the new ACC charges for motorbikes affect only people with motorbikes, this only affects people breaking the law. I think the new charges are insane (but theres another thread for that discussion).
Common sense told me that, not 'evidence'. I tell it how I see it, pisses some people off but doesn't worry me in the slightest . Posting on the internet that you rip up other peoples property is something I see as pretty low, so sure I "flamed" that comment. I didn't assume thats the sort of behaviour they do, they posted it in this thread
They do? They posted?. Hmph.
i think telling you to calm down was a reasonable thing to do. Calm people live longer (sometimes). so im just looking out for you

Sounds like YOU are the problem.
haha your saying that people tearing up council property is more of a problem than the idiots in ticked up evos that have 200km/hr+ chases with the police? good one buddy, calm down.
i dislike the idea of my human rights being breached but, as it doesnt effect me (ie i dont do laps of town for fun), im not going to complain about this. i personally cant wait to see Sam Judd in his heinous "evo" geta batton shoved up his ass by the police. its going to make my day, infact probably my year. Teach him for throwing bottles at my mr2.
also. wont the fact that the laws are bullshit make it easier for those not in the wrong to have the charges waved? why complain now when you could wait untill its relevent to you then throw their bullshit back at them?

got coilovers yet? / is it low yet?

if its ring bound you could seperate the month pages to the photo pages (ie you have to flip two to get to the next page) that way each year we could jsut buy new month pages and put them on our old calender.
if the photos are great and of great cars (which im definate they will be) i sure wouldnt mind seeing them year after year.

yeh i need to put more fuel in. changed fuel filter, didnt help. cleaned rail and lines at engine end out, blew down fuel line and retern line. i think its at the pickup. is a cunt to take tank out of too.
-
all things point to it being fuel, might end up having to pull the fuel tank out and clean everything.
-
o well, cheers anyways. am off to change the fuel pressure reg adn see if that helps.
-
whats metric fuel?
ive got 91 unleaded in it, should probs have 95 but didnt have any adn am out of town, has run fine on 91 for ages.
-
how can i tell if its fuel surge? how can i fix this. replace FPR?
-
no its only when moving, asthough the momentum is causing something to not work. :s
skid done. lol
-
i know its not OS but
the car is a G100 Daihatsu charade GTti
the problem:
in certain situations when driving and ALWAYS when your turning right it will not rev and decellerated, as if its not firing. it coughs and splutters after this and wont rev properly but clears within a few seconds of straightening out.
so far ive replaced - the battery, the coil and ignitor, the leads, the WHOLE distributor, the spark plugs.
ive also cleaned the fuel filter, blown out the fuel lines and rail, replaced the fuel.
the problem is it idles fine and revs fine when stationary and even drives fine accept when turning right and trying to accelerate when doing so. ive looked at the wiring around teh steering column and theres nothing up. mive checked all around the steering arms and cvs and anything to see if any wiring is getting caught in anything and its not, ive reterminated a whole fuckload of wires and that hasnt helped..
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GET TOO ANGRY AND DO SOMETHING STUPID

-
