  1. Just discovered there is such a device available Anyone wants to share their experience with the kit ?
  2. would be interested in a dcnf manifold if you are producing them
  3. Is it difficult and expensive to have a similar manifold made? Looking at the DCNF + manifold images make me want one too...
  4. Nice progress there on the X Any chance you happen to know any euro bumpers available here in NZ?
  5. argh! how can I not know there was a Fiat/Lancia track day!!! oh wait it's in the South Island
  6. The 1300cc model makes about 75hp and the 1500cc model makes about 85hp Putting one of those civic engines in to the X will instantly double the amount of hp! Damn this thread is evil. It's sucking me into thinking of getting a conversion like this now
  7. A Honda B16A + Y21 gearbox conversion ? That would be pretty awesome for such a small mid-engine car A guy in Australia has done it a few years ago to his X1/9. He even went a step ahead and swap in the whole civic front dash. (But that just look wrong :! ) When I got my X1/9 I was (and still am) madly in love with this idea. It has been proven that it can be done and the person who did the conversion said that no main structural changes are required at all to fit the engine and gearbox. Two things are stopping me with proceeding with this though. 1) I don't want to "ruin" an Italian car with a "modern" (but extremely reliable) engine 2) I am no mechanic so it will cost me a fortune to have a workshop to do the whole conversion I am not sure exactly how much the parts will cost but you will probably be looking at the cost of getting a front cut of a honda civic (I assume it's around 1k?)
  8. Hey everyone, I am a noob trying to obtain a weber 34 DAT or 34 DMTR carb for a Fiat X1/9. I have managed to find some new old stocks on the internet but I have no idea if they are right for the X1/9 because even they all have different part numbers. I am also confused about a gasket set. Should a new carb come with it or do I have to get it seperately?
  9. cheers guys. anyone ever heard of Edwards Panel and Paint at 21 Kingsford Smith Street ?
  10. Cheers for the info! I am a bit short in cash at the moment, so I am just thinking of getting the rust removed (and get them primered) and save up for a paint job later.
  11. is that the Adelaide Road in Newtown?
  12. just got a 89 fiat coupe and i think it needs a good (anti) rust (and removal) treatment. Anyone know any reputable panel and paint guys in welly? Cheers, Vinny
