  1. another option is using a matt clear, Ive used a spies hecker version which worked quite well it seemed a lot more durable than some of the other matt options Ive tried that can potentially mark quite easy

Also heard of but havent tried putting hardener with basecoat I think it was at 5:1 an leaving that as a finished matt top coat. But would need to double check with the guy....he's got 25ish years in the biz and have seen some amazing work from him so dont usually question his methods lol

  2. Spies hecker does an etch called 4085 its 1k and can be used wet on wet.... its expensive but its good and also comes in an aerosol which is handy as opposed to using/cleaning a gun

Ive used it as stated earlier on edges where theres been a rub through, both wet on wet and given a light rub as it is quite thin but it has amzing ability to kill any fish eyes from contamination and seems to be quite resiliant to fry ups on edges of repairs

Im no professional but keep a can of this stuff about always it can be very handy

  3. Metalux for basecoats it covers better than ppg an about 40 a ltr cheaper.

I would always paint inside as orange peel is more related to your materials and percentage of reducer an if you have slow or fast hardener that gives the paint time to flow out before it flashes off

  4. I would build a jump either side of the harbour bridge with its own onramp then do up my work ute appropriately to make the gap each day on my way to an from work.

Might also start a human farm and sell roasts chops etc

Back to reality I would raid yahoo auctions and start a collection of old gtrs, laurels, crestas etc ranging from nana to rediculous spec.......all this is to run in conjunction with parties alcohol drugs and women

  5. Brought a 1jzgte with gearbox out of jza70 overnight on yahoo for 36000 jpy

Not sure what state mOtor is in but if gearbox is a r154 then it was well worth it as bellhousing, flywheel etc would of cost me a grand anyway.

The combo had to picked up so ewan (hayatonka) is doing the mish in his van to grab it.

    Will add pics later.

  6. If your going to use the clear you have I recommend getting some clear etch primer... I recall using some uP north but can't remember brand sorry.. It was a 1k so just reduce an spray.

If you have square edges layer them up as that will be the first place it will want to come off
