Had my first near miss after 4.5 years of scooter commuting today, going around roundabout and stereotypical ranger driver failed to give way. They somehow failed to see me with my super bright hi viz jacket and headlight blaring but my dinky little horn (not a euphemism) gave them a fright.

And as my Dad found out, even if your cooling system is perfect, you dont overheat it, you look after it and do everything right. Your 1KZ will still crack a head

As cool as this corolla and the yaris are, dropping $80k on a small Toyota hatchback is a tough pill to swallow

Inlaws have had one of them for 5 or so years, spent thousands on it fixing it. Always has something wrong with it but when it does go its very nice

All good, i just know that in every manual Honda ive had a fresh box of Honda MTF is like magic, especially in my old CRV that had just been serviced before i bought it with some mystery gearbox fluid and was very notchy and noisey, fresh honda MTF and it was like a brand new gearbox.
Thread for reference

If it is anything at all like a Honda gearbox then the sychros will thank you for using Honda MTF.
Otherwise Liqui Moly Top Tec MTF 5200 is apparently equally as good

Ive had 5 people say they are coming to pick up the scooter im selling "this weekend", but of course we all know they will never show up.
Always with the "whats the lowest you will take", and "how much for cash" nonsense. Meh, it will see eventually and then I will put the proceeds towards a 5 speed gearset, new crank and 12v conversion for crappy old Dax engine I have in pieces

A hinged flat bar that closes across the front of the draws then can be unlatched and swung out of the way to allow draws to open could also work.
Easy to leave out of the way when toolbox is in the workshop and it isnt required too

It would be nice to get some proper Mugen wheels for the mrs EF8 SIR.
14" CF-48 like above are pretty cheap. I paid $250 for mine years ago but still occasionally see them for similar prices. 15" ones are $$ though
Swap you my wheels for your CRX

MR2B form, where it asks what type of vehicle (trailer etc) put "01" in the box, the list of options on the rear of the page starts with "02", other than that just fill out form as required

Late 90s early 00s legacys?
I often see one of those weird porsche colab legacy sedans (blitzen?) when I walk the dog sitting on a fairly rough houses front lawn.

That one where you brought the least sensible car you could find and then went on a crazy road trip in and something awesome happened (so any of them)

What size? Eco hatch/sedan/wagon etc?
Hyundai Getz

But if you do the MR2B at the correct place then because it has no VIN then it cant be linked back to any previous registration, so cant be flagged and wont be inspected anyway.

Going by all those leaks I am presuming Rover got the Nissan k11 team to design the seals etc ....
Since it is essentially a EF Honda chassis then I assume it is the built in tail light seal leak feature that all EF's seem to have.
Always liked these, look forward to your detailed process of bring it back to its former glory

Given current circumstances its hardly even worth importing a boring every day car, just buy one thats already here. Be lucky to save $1000 and still run the risk it will need more than $1000 spent on it once its here.
Buy one you can go see and test drive

Probably the same as most cars, just with a light interior you can actually see it

Yep been very lucky, it is a short commute but 1x major roundabout where I enter the main road need 2x lanes of cars doing 80kp/h to give way so always super cautious there which has probably preempted a lot of it, definitely take a very defensive approach and am prepared for people not to see me.
