I want a Telstar XRi (I prefer the liftback shape and the ZE JDM goodness). Probably stick with the GTi6 a bit longer but the Telstar will make a cheap tow car. Decisions decisions.

Lantis.... bonus points for it being a NZ one, in a bollywood flick filmed in NZ:
Exige, apart from Lotus Docos or Top gear, it's been in a couple of boyracer type vids, which don't really count.
However, the Type 111 Elise has been on plenty of things. It was a recurring car on a couple of British dramas, and even in some Jap anime.

Alloy ones aren't bad, just don't expect the $200 ones to be any decent. I've got a Torin Big Red alloy jack and it's done me great for years. Looks EXACTLY the same as the $200 alloy jacks on trademe.... but isn't.

This build is spoogeworthyu! Top quality workmanship and by golly you don't f**k about! If this was me, I'd be three years in and would have just about finished stripping the donor shell.

Thinking of the 123Ignition kit for the Jaguar. getting it to run without pinking when there's no Avgas in the tank is problematic when touring. It'd be nice to have a retarded map in it for when we can't be running it on the Av.

It's OK, you were stopped in a queue of traffic turning right and I passed by going straight through... I had the advantage having spotted you from afar the intersection previous.

Spotted the mean black Sheepersmobile turning onto Great South Road, Penrose from the SE HIghway.Tooted and offered the two-fingered Steve McQueen salute from my Frogwagon as a complimentary salutation.

From what I heard, his design input didn't go much further than saying "hey, let's stick this engine in a custom tube framed car and then make it look like a Peugeot WRC car". Gearbox alone on that car cost about $40k, engine significantly more.
-
His natural talent is more about his ability to build something awesome. He's certainly quick, but that car is what sets him apart.
Don't be suckered in. That thing isn't exactly a home build... Lot of people were paid a lot of money to put that thing together. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome car, just don't go thinking that some young kid cobbled it together in a shed, could pay off my mortgage with what that thing cost.

Hi George.
How ya going? Hope all is well for ya.
No, that doesn't look familiar at all mate, there was never that much room when I had it
Geez son, you need to get yourself some more cars.....
Haha tell me something I don't know Craig Was always going to take me more than a few years to fill it up, and between racing the Mazda and keeping the Lotus on form, it doesn't leave a lot of time and money for extra vehicles. Will possibly be acquiring an extra car or two in the coming year to have on the back burner as a project. Plenty of time yet, I'm trying to pace myself
Good to hear that Pokeno's treating you well and it sounds like you've plenty of shed space there now to keep you happy!
-
That was my old garage in town, it was an awesome setup but I now have a bit of land in Pokeno with three sheds to play in
Hi Craig!
Look familiar?

+1 for Taylor Automotive in Grafton. Very happy with them

Pre my childhood, but growing up with this on the wall shaped my future.
My Dad, no doubt feeling like a bawse.

Special Interest can only be applied for by NZ Residents currently permanently residing in NZ, so even if it did qualify, your father would have to be the one applying.
Also, you might struggle to get it in under SIV.

I got a supersnipe already
Well then, problem solved. Add 2JZ, simmer and stir.
-
Humber Super Snipe or Triumph MkII 2500 with 2JZ no shit.

Lasertec engineering out west is who we typically use.

Good god Sheepers, this car is looking so unbelievably sweet!

Pet hate when househunting was seeing places that obviously used to have internal access garaging that was turned into bedrooms... useless bastards ruining what was otherwise a good house!

Manual? If auto you're dead to me.

Don't need a cage, no. Can race it as you bought it. Can run a cage if you want though.
Lantis strengths are handling, braking and the ability to lap consistently over a long run.... we lack about 10km/h on the straights and mid range acceleration. The uphills at HD kill us. Should he a strong package at Manfeild and Taupo

Use a GoPro HD and a GoPro HD2. Datalogging comes from a Racelogic PerformanceBox, and the overlays onto the video are done by Dashware.

My view of the 2k Races from teh weekend. Some of the best and closest racing out there tbh. My car isn't the weapon to win the championship with, but it sure is fun!

Looks epic! Our place is definitely going to be less "designer" especially in the bathroom..... Given we're introducing kids into the mix, everything has to pass the practicality/durability test. Also, I'm colourblind and Claudia is stylistically conservative, means our place will be boring in comparison. Loving how yours is turning out though!
