So the wife wants a new car , got 20ish max need something to fit us two kids and two small dogs.

Fastish would be a bonus and not to old/unreliable 2005. Asking to much or is there something good that will fit the bill?

I've been running one on my d4d lux for around 4 years now no problems yet , huge increase in torque!

Turns out this has a 7mge engine if that makes a difference.

Car is in Mangawhai so pretty hard to get another quote.

Yeah they must be taking him for a ride , he's a couple of weeks off 90. Unless he's left something out, he said something about soleniods as well so might be more to the story.

So the old boy across the road has his engine light on in his 88 cressida 2.8l .

He's taken it in to the mechanics and they've diagnosed it with a faulty o2 sensor and said it would be over $1000 to fix.

This seems a bit rich , would it matter if it wasn't fixed or will it cause issues?

Any help  would be great.

Hardboard. It's stiffer and less prone to swelling up when damp , plus that's what the original door cards are made from !

Hi , I've been scouring the net for tyres for my 2006 2wd Hilux. There seems to be a lot of tyres out there but i cant decide .

Basically im after the usual compromise of good grip , wear and price also they need to be load rated . I'm in Auckland and I'm after something around the 235 60 16 size and under $300 preferred . Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I bought one of the new kun hilux's when they were first released in 2005 and have had nothing bad to say about it .

Im a builder and its constantly loaded up with heavy shit and towing all manor of loads .

Ive had it chipped which gives it a good boost in power .

Were alot more pricey than the triton from memory .

Al,s mufflers in Target road would be my pick , i've had them do a lot over the years .

Ive got 5mm slipp on spacers listed on my cert plate , i wasmade to tap a screw through into my hub to hold them on .

seems alot of places can get some of these sizes but they arent very common so the price tends to reflect that, so something relativly common would also be a must

right ive decided on some 13x7 +10 offset rims for my kp (i hope theyll fit ) so next thing is a nice size tyre to put on them , im keen on stretch look (not worried about wof) but dont want them to look shit . would a 155 65 14 look shit or go for a 185 60 13 ?

talked to the certifier down the road and they are legal without cert (he did agree that they can catch you out )

im thinking bout finding out what series head ive got and what ratio so i can drop an tsd in instead. must be somthing out there.

i would just put an lsd in but they all seem to be very loose , also finding one for it is hard as its the new model hilux and all the wreakers are charging a fortune (2000 bucks)

it will be mostly tarseal driving so want to make sure its safer than welding the diff up .

im a builder and ive never had noise control called on me , even working in some very flash areas of auckland . so go hard during the weekdays 7-7 ease it back on saturday and sunday 9-5 maybe and you should be sweet . neighbours dont have a leg to stand on but its always nice to try and keep the peace .

well one is nearly done just got to tap a thread into it for the gear lever or drill and glue a threaded metel insert in , one of the two anyway .
