Why was there a drop in brake performance?

Only makes the speedo read 1.8 km slower at 100km which I’m not worried about .... just the saftey of seating on the rim .

price wise they’re sweet and will give me the option of a better tyre

I’m looking at some new tyres for the mrs Santa Fe currently   on 255 45 20 Toyo proxies On 8.5 inch wide rim .

wanting to go to a 275 45 20 to get the tyre bludging past the rim a bit (she’s prone to curbing them) any thoughts on the extreme width , speedo will only be out by 2.8 km which makes it spot on according to gps.

All done ... 13x5 Enkei wheels with 15mm bolt on spacers to convert 4x110PCD to 4x100  , had to machine out the centre bore on the spacers to 66.1 from 60

fitted 175/50/13 Yokohama A539 tyres. 

Now to wait for my suspension to arrive....

Just purchased a 96 Mira for a run around hack , the 12x4 wheels are giving me the shits in the rain!

What are my options as far as wheels and tyres for these? I was thinking 14x5.5 or 6 even , but getting tyres seems impossible .

So I went and test drove Hilux Ranger and Colorado.

To be honest I liked the driving experience and quality of the Hilux the best , didn't like the Ranger much at all it felt a bit outdated and did some weird "revey" shit of the line which I wasn't a fan of , also I didn't think it was that quick for the extra displacement and running cost. Similar price to hilux as well.

Colorado was quite nice , a little bit of a cheaper feel to the hilux but was $15 k cheaper than the others!

so a few more to try but so far it's the Colorado.

Yip I need tow bar roof racks and canopy so that adds up. 60k would be top I think.

I wouldn't buy Chinese Utes yet as china seems to cut corners in everything they do , safety and performance , quality.

4wd or possibly 2wd with rear diff lock minimum, quite a lot of shitty steep gravel driveways and roads up here in Mangawhai.

Im going to go drive as many Utes as I can one day this week , but mostly Hilux Colorado Triton and Dmax I think.

Mitsi are the ok really? They look kind of shit but the warranty and price is sweet , do they have enough grunt?

I was kind of ready to buy another hilux as the resale is so good , but they a expensive to start with . Although I've not had any major problems with my current one in 12 years.

So I've owned my hilux since new in 2006 and I'm due an upgrade , being a builder it gets a fair bit of abuse and lugs around a bit of weight.

I'm looking to buy new what should I get / avoid ????

The old boy across the road has blown a head gasket in his 1989 auto Cressida it has a 7mge 3l.pretty tidy , new radiator and battery and tyres.

She ended up with 2013 Santa Fe diesel 7 seater. Actually goes well 140kw with boot loads of torque. Blew budget @ 34k but "what baby wants baby gets"

Just drove bmw 5 series 3l and c55 amg.........merc is mind blowingly nice to drive. BMW so so.

Wife has fallen in love with the merc , its a fresh jap import but with full mercedes service history from japan with only one owner there.

Price is 25k , do you think it would depreciate to much more ? Any other negatives apart from huge fuel bill and service costs?

Audi looks great but ks are getting up there , I drive a 2006 Hilux double cab so we don,t really need another. Just want something more comfortable.
