in short, have been offered this mk2 ghia for a swap for my rx626 coupe
fairly sure the car is in gisbourne

  2. spotted at my work
very rare shit tin, i mean citroen... hard core citroen fans would know the rariety of this car, and im told by the fossil that owns it that its value is above $120k
This particular model never came two door, and was retro converted in the factory, only a handful made.
we restored the whole side in photo and when the door was in bare steel you could see their handy workman ship extending the door, awesome craft right there!

  3. have done a few at my work (car painter) id do like you said and fill the cracks with what have you, fibreglass resin would be my choice, and once youve got the old clear off, just re-clear it, scuff back and re-clear it again. repeat that process untill you have the finish youre after

  4. hey guys, in the weekend just gone i ventured to my shed to dust off the car, hadnt been in there for a while. And ive noticed my steering wheel is going mouldy :doubt: ... i live in a rental and the shed is a little average if not worse, has a few small leaks and drafty windows etc...

just trying to think of different ideas on how to keep this winter weather fucking my car, as ive recently panel and painted it.
will be trying to fix leaks etc asap but its obviously staying very moist.

do those damp rid things work that u buy from the supermarkets?

also, yes i have cavity waxed and fisholined the shit out of the car to stop rust coming back lol...

    any ideas welcome

  5. well car has been put back together for a while now, minus the interior.

front wheels offset have been changed to +20 and are sitting real nice in front

the car is on trademe, but only real reason its there is that i had a moment of cbf'd anymore, and it cost a shit load to list, so will just keep listing...

am definatly open to offers if anyones interested, not that theres much lol

but am keeping on keeping on with it, as it sits in my shed its not costing anything but my time...

but within saying that i will be hitting a exspensie part of making it legal soon, and just like most of us, money is tight.

any ideas what its going to cost to cert with all my mods?

am told that because my adjustable lower arms dont have crush tubes that it maybe an issue?

    holla

  6. i have the same problem on my 626, the s5 four pots are so meaty that i had to use 8ml spacers and modify the wheels and use flares to keep them tucked in the guards... if i were to do it differently i would modify stock struts instead of using series 5 gear... on a positive note, i get almost perpendicular lock when its turned full lock...

it seems to be a problem on 626s, if you look at the kuffem 62 on trademe his tyres are very proud on the front too, and hes using 4pots too

  7. What colour is that man? Looks awesome

the colour is a new toyota colour called 'dark metal' the code is 1H3... has an oldschool look to it

sorry i gave all my old stuff to anthony at olds cool autos as i had them on trademe for ages with no luck of selling them for cheaps

i do have a spare '79 front... it does need some tlc, but is salvagable. also the grille and corner headlight bezels and indicator lenses... theyre becoming sortafter... i dig the series 2 front

  8. why the fuck would you wet sand it before priming it, lets be honest, its a stupid idea

get a DA sander and rip into it, take you bout 4 hours to have that whole car ready for primer, wet sanding is shit.

i wish people would stop suggesting stupid ideas
