Check all ze fuses?
yeah went over all of them and they all LOOK fine - I guess I should check them with the multimeter too..
Oh Oskar, you are a bloody worry.
yeah everything I touch stops working
-
Yeah have sprayed in and around dizzy and leads. There is no spark whatsoever. Another thing to note is the 12v constant wire I was using for the stereo no longer has power since I tried to use it to get the central locking going. Could be related?
-
Yeah I had the dizzy opened, looked pretty dry in there. One thing that was suggested was the condenser could be stuffed, but i couldn't figure out how to get if off and repco didn't have a listing for it

Quick update, checked for spark and plug 1,2 and 3 sparked ok. Plug 4 covered in oil and wasn't very happy. Tested for fuel at fuel pump and she's gushin like a champ. Tested compression and all 4 cylinders at 180psi. So went back to spark plugs and this time I could only get spark out of plug 1 and only intermittently at best. So must be something wack in the dizzy? Btw its an internal coil in the dizzy.

Cool I'll get a helper and try that tomorrow

Yeah I'll have a look at the dizzy, there was just a little spritz of water tbh so I'm thinking it's something else

Car is a 1990 Corolla with 4af (carby). I've had the whole dash out recently and also swapped the instrument cluster for one with a tacho. Started putting everything back in, went to start the engine, it fired briefly then just stopped firing. I had also just rinsed off around the engine bay with water. Tried rolling it down the hill, but doesn't fire at all.
So far I've checked the engine and ignition fuses, unplugged and replugged the loom that goes to the key. What are some more troubleshooting steps?

Had a bloody great time! Thanks Manu for tirelessly driving through so much serenity. Thanks Sam for the hospitality/bum grabs. Thanks cam for being a gc providing pizza and beer for a wet dromeageddon crowd. Congrats to Bleedy Al for spectacular concussion and Niki for being a well prepared drome nurse. Yay for bikes!

Luke and I have already had to pull out the first aid kits!
Had an awesome ride along the aquaducky. Then I hit a little bump, shit got wobbly and I got airborne. Luckily I was wearing both helmet and gloves for a change. Knee pads would have been good though

You'll be having too much fun to eat

Yep I'm aiming to be out by 3 as well and I'm more or less ready to go. Took the scoot for a little blat around the driveway, got some new brake pads for it and washed off some of last years dust. Bring it on!

I haven't done anything to prepare. I hope my bike still goes.

All I know is that the subframes in an ss80 differ between auto and manual. The gearbox end has bolts in a different position. That being said, the donor car has a completely different subframe/ mount setup.
I have an auto ss80 subframe in my garage if you need one. Apparently it was going to be useful for my g10 swap that never happened.
