  1. Mangare: Nissan-Datsun 260c, pretty tidy dash etc.. electric windoes! front bumper is OKish pretty tuff looking. Love the way the chassis/eng number plate has the HP rating as well :) (137 or something)

    85 cressida - looks average.

Might start bringing my camera next time I go.

79 Lancer was still there - pretty decent body actually..

  2. Bumper Black is pretty good. Sprays on like a spray can but dries and just looks like new plastic.

sweet, might try that - available from the usual places? Does it last?

Supercheap should order the product in for you, I had to get a certain colour of spraypaint sent over from aussie through them.

I tried, but they were pretty unkeen to order in.. I'm gonna ask the actual manager tommorow (his day off today apparently). I think it's a bit of a mission for them if they've never had the product stocked before.

  3. Hi

Need something for my bumpers/dash/trim to make them nice and black, but I really don't want to spraypaint them. Stuff like armorall etc wouldn't really work since theyre just a silicon spray..

Been reading about something called Forever Black but you can't buy it here. Apparently you can get it at supercheap etc in Aussie. Seems like a good product from what they reviews say.. (man I sound like a spambot) Basically it's just a waterproof black dye for PVC and vinyl.

Not really keen to get it sent over, noticed you can buy pots of black dye from shoe repair places - says its suitable for PVC etc.. reckon that would do the job?

  4. yay, my second post :D

GT6 for me, mostly for nostalgia reasons. Dad had a wicked yellow mk3 when I was aboout 10, took me out on the mean fangs with it. I remember it was so low and fast, and the cockpit used to get hellishly hot from the engine. For ages 170kph was the fastest I'd ever been a car.

I think I prefer the mk2, with the new front, but the old rear end:

    mk3 rear end:

Mum had a 240z - I was too young to remember it though, apparently I pretty much wrote it off when I was 4, mum left me in the car for a minute with the keys in.. I popped it into gear and turned the key = car + rock wall. :P

How you found out about oldschool: dunno.. googling for something I guess?

Anything else you want to add:

Howsit all, been lurking around here for a while now, thought it was high time to introduce myself. I drive a little red 600kg, 800cc beast, pretty much my favourite car ever! Got it for free off my g/f's mate, who had been told that the rust in the pillar was terminal cancer and it wouldn't get another WOF.. Well, after a bit of newtech it's been through about 4 WOFs and still going strong. the 3-cyl F8B engine is legendary. Revs hard up to about 6000 no worries, top speed of around 150 (the gauge stops at 140). I use it mainly to move my drumkit to and from practice twice a week - it's a bit of a mish getting it all in there, but it does the trick. Nice cheap runner and so much fun to drive!

Anyway, there's some pretty mint wagons on here, very jealous of you all. I'm gonna start a project thread soon, maybe it will get me rarked up to do some more work on the car...
