  3. Yeah I'm kicking myself I didn't think of it earlier I will do a test with it on / of tomorrow to confirm. For now I will let Mt Brooklyn sleep
  4. OK the bikes running like a charm now. As I'm typing this I'm touching all the wood I can find. . . And timber. We fitted a smaller front sprocket at watermark and it ran bether tHan ever. Came home happy as had dinner then thought I better test it on the hill and fuck it. It's back. Soldered all the joins again. Removed chode air filter. And cleaned carb for the zilinth time. Just returned from a Mt Brooklyn roadtrip and everything seems all groovy. Will give it a red rocks fang tomorrow. I'm wondering if the air filter was choking it. Super short type. Thanks for the above adice oldschool and Hayholes mum
  5. BUGGER IT Replacement CDI did not change anything It goes so well it first and second gear, then half way through the 3rd gear rev range its just cutting out and will ride along cutting out indefinitely. Going to check; Gearing ratio Remove side cover and check timing marks line up Look at the float bowl level Add Manifold gasket seal Redo all connections Any other ideas?
  6. Fingers mega crossed that the CDI due to arrive tomorrow fix's my engine issues. 7. Mega Mega fail of a weekend to the power of 1000. Spent all of Sat and Sun trying to eliminate this miss. Waiting on a replacement CDI that hopefully arrives el pronto for the weekends trip. Huge thanks too Hayholes mum for spending her Sunday helping out, what a women! She did find a critical error with my fuel tank having junk in it so that eliminated one issue.
  8. Thanks for the 3 posts and now the 4th, you are such a caring mum. Yup tested intake seal.
  9. Battery is new from Boyals but it's a 3mah one dono if to small but gets hot so need Voltage dropped on it I guess or it won't last long
  10. OK I will see what other regs I have in stove. This is one of those bigger flat ones fitted at the moment.
  11. Good point. It is a clean tank but who knows what's in the bottom that's I can't see will remove carb now. Flip I have a filter in stock too didn't think of fitting it.
  12. Anyone have a 5 or 6 wire CDI i could borrow for a few hours to determine if mines a dud?
  13. The volts are a little high even with regulator screencast
  14. Yeah I think you could be correct. I can't think of anything else to check. How universal are these CDI units I wonder. Will need to try source one.
  15. Ah true was not aware of that, i was just thinking nice clean metal. http://www.tibtech.com/conductivity.php
  16. Yeah i thought that also, even made a common stainless steel earth bar that everything goes too.
  17. Bugger it, it's still doing it only not as noticeable becauase of the powa increase. It feels elcrical related. Unless the timing needs to be set, surely that's fine on a crate motor.
  18. WOOP WOOOOOOOOOOP Just answered my own question, chopped the exhaust off . . . and shes way way faster now! and the issue is gone burgars. Happy as
  19. HELP OS The motor revs freely at a stand still but under higher speed load it splatters quite badly, like a flat spot when it feels like it should pick up and go. Have tried 3 different coils, double twipple quad triple checked all connections, played with fuel mixture, changed throttles, disconnected regulator, disconnected battery, all making no difference. Could it be the 100cc exhaust choking it? It seems quite a large diameter but well muffled. Running out of trouble shooting ideas :s . . . . lost count of Brooklyn test runs.
  20. Modified left pannier, mounted tank and dummy-ed up the rear hoop upload gambar photoupload
  21. I'm just waiting to hear back from the seller he reckons he might have sent the wrong ones which I semi doubt. If he does have some 350 long, would like to use them for the next AX100 project I have lined up to statt after this one. Will get back to ya.

  23. Ah ok chairs! I can only find an idle adjusting screw on the outside of this carb. The bike has a bit of a miss so re done the earth's and will re test this evening. I love electrickery Also can't seem to get voltage regulation derp derp
  24. Anyone know what this screw adjusts on a Mikuni carb? It's rectangular and can't crack it without it felling like I'm going to round it. Opposite side to the idle adjustment.
