na not mental at all dude, your list has some nice toyotas . The mx30 is it ME-U auto and f series rear like my coupe?? electric fender mirrors, windows etc?? mark II FTW!
-
I think most would buy that many cars given cash and space to put em.
-
for sure 2jz FTW! if going down the n/a route I wouldnt bother with pistons and rods as will be big $$ and unless your planning to rev the tits off it stock = tough as. Rods are the same as 2jzgte. Money better spent on head work on the jz's. I got a 1jzge in my shed you could have for a hundy to tinker with?

Yea say you leave at 12:30 you shouldnt be any later than 8 and thats with a slow trip. How good a time you make usually depends how long it takes you to get out of that initial bit around the coast with all the 70km areas!
Should we make it next friday anyway? for some beers/bbq? maybe a drive I dont know if my old school car will be going as Ive attacked it with a grinder
-
Did you chassis ever come out with an EFI motor? Surely there are some bolt on to make this a hell of a lot easier e.g. fuel pump
my coupe has a ME-U ghetto 70's injection but they have a decent fuel pump. Depending on your planning and making sure you collect all the parts to do it theres no reason you couldnt do it in a weekend.

I havnt met anyone from hams yet but always sweet to drink at my pad + bbq etc
I think I have met you in town a couple times, my shortass mate always talks to a spence dude about ae85s, thinking thats you?
Yea me in town = a haggard mess, Whos ya mate? mike? Im having a piss up here sat, but if someone puts down a date I own the place so theres no worries just tell the flatties to stow it etc.

rb20de with bike carbs
should be shot for that comment , Dont think the x3 is the correct place to start if going for a big single 1jz. But crazier things have been done
-
Yea lot of work on a x3 series cressida to handle 1jzgte. thats why I bought my x8 series mark 2, chassis = made for that shit. Ive always thought a NA six is the go in these a 2jz on individual throttles was my plan, throttles can be done easily on the two piece manifold. Plus it would have a mean whack of tourqe and sound insane! Should be able to do an 18rg for stuff all so do it and keep saving.

I'd be carefull just leave whatever tag matches the code on the body on there and get warrent and reg's like normal. I wouldnt push my luck asking VTNZ shit about a chopped car
-
so anyone tried this hose down the carb stuff? one of my mark 2's splutters and keeps on going after the keys off but otherwise runs mint. Just abit skeptical of where that carbons going to go?

I think its part of th UR range its a stroked form of the new v8 direct injection engines made for the lexus range. but the 5.7 doesnt have the direct injection
1ur-fse = 4.6l
2ur-fse = 5l (dont think they make that one yet)
3ur-fse = 5.7l (for the tundra)
be pretty cool engines, as far as I understand the ur engines are an extension of the direct injection v6's (2gr-fse)

I had some once the centres are welded in, fake studs
-
I see your flipping the centers . Well then flares may be the way to go, looks kind of stupid, flares with still narrow rims that stick out? I realy need to find someone that can widen 3 piece jap rims (dont know if its possible) or make new pieces up
-
My mate in hams bought a guard rolling device that bolts on the hub works sweet but still munts the paint abit. It depends how bad you tires rub. First roll the inner lip, if you need more room roll with said machine (or bat etc). then if you need even more space do a cut and pull,
flares only work if you have big dish

Looks nice and clean! just bought pies old one but its a hardtop, pretty keen to get this crusty matt black off it and gloss blacking it after seeing yours!

Cars you own:
toyota mx31 mark II coupe. Needs rust work but its getting there
toyota sx60 mark 2 hardtop. pies old ride new daily needs some attention
toyota gx81 mark 2 hardtop. on going project 1jzgte single turbo 18's etc
toyota gx71 cressida. another hack dont know what to do with this one
Mods: not much to the old school toyotas the mx31 has some 15*7 ssrs it needs to be painted and re vined. Then look at getting rid of the ME-U and replacing it with a 1uz? maybe a 2jzge. The sx60 needs more rust work then I have some 14*7 volkmesh wheels for it and just daily it. Most money goes into the gx81 single turbo, external gate, link, shift kitted auto, 3000 rpm stall, coilovers etc
How you found out about oldschool: Found it a couple of years ago maybe from a link in another forum? didnt realy have an oldschool ride (just a ke70 and a ae85) after picking up the mx31 decided to join up
