  1. fully ze pistons aren't much silvertop for $3-400, 20v's have there limitations in na form (well Im no expert but f1 and even yamaha went back to 4) but at low lifts has massive valve area advantage, good for boosting. Plus the silvertop rods = same as a ze of the same year which are tough as shit. Theres some mean examples around bazdas 7age 330kw and the land speed record 4age that was 1500cc was in the region of 1000hp (had some mad trick bits in it). But its fully each to there own I like to stick with a manufacturers alternative power plant where possible

  2. ^ um because if you start with a 4agze or put ze pistons in your 4age you have an engine ready for forced induction. CA's seem pretty thin on the ground compared to 4ages these days

Yea theres heaps of 200kw 4ages around but it takes more $$ turbo depends what your after most go for china t3/t4's then aftermarket ecu and bigger injectors and your set, there is rangi tricks on stock ecu's that have seen 180kw but I wouldn't go there. Whats some of the bigger hp ca's you've seen/ heard of

  5. Quick question on matty B, I need to tidy up my car for nats was looking at a quick prep then matt black but I know its only going to be good for a few months then fucked when it gets wet. Any ideas saw you guys talking about it in low lancers thread and didnt want to spam it. Do I just bite the bullet and go 2k gloss on the bitch

  6. Add a new head gasket and head studs to your build up aswell. Carb setup will work but I still dont think you have enough control (well not enough for my liking) on a highish comp ratio. I'd want to use a wide band O2 sensor when the carbs being tuned. plumbing is just the same as any turbo setup really except things get gay for you because its non cross flow, go have a look at some 4k turbo carb setups and add a few cylinders on in your imagination

  7. Whats the compression ratio? how goods the bottom end? Carbs and turbos can work but i wouldnt want to go there. You'd really want to go efi to make sure you have good fueling, so custom intake and exhaust manifolds, then all the usuals intercooler, fuel pump and lines etc. theres alot more to it but cant say I know your motor

  8. Also what comes into it is more boost your running in theory your making more power hence more exhaust to bypass means bigger gate so the above quote is correct.

  9. mates got a kp startlet with 4age, he is running a TRD lsd in it, ill be well over the 500 mark but id say it will be well worth it,

    is that on an ae86 diff? they're gay Ive broke axles with a stock bluetop, depends how you drive but I'd go straight to hilux get it shortened do it once do it properly etc. Then you can keep some dish on your rims

  10. your bolt in options are R series (18rg or 22r being the better), M series (spew), T series and I think there was a 1L diesel one. all really pretty gay but for a quick re-power 18rg would be cheap and easy with no cert issues. 1gge's (even te or ze) are ok motors and mounts are piss easy to whip up. Then theres 1jz's, 3sge's even shitty 3tgte's if your that way inclined all depends on how much you want to spend/results etc
