just did a little bit of lazy google research, it looks like Range Rover's share the exact same mechanism with BMW.....and it does appear to be cable operated to release....
-

-
just to clarify......did you have the same "lock up" problem with the range rover as the Kia and Hyundai?

cheers for that Clint, I have had a look at the E-stopp aftermarket kit, and while looking on ebay there appears to be loads from late model euros that could fit the bill.....I have a tangle of pipes and suspension linkages that might make the OEM cables a tight squeeze.....
-
.....on the topic of handbrakes, what's the deal with retrofitting an electric actuator handbrake from a late model instead of using the traditional cable operation? And if they are accepted for Certification purposes, has anybody got ideas on which vehicle is best as a donor....

Had a friend who rechromed his bumpers and had the POR treatment added over them for extra protection.....he had the same result as yours....

Pick a small town to host the event.....get their local business roundtable involved, bring money to the district and you will be welcomed.....Marton, Edgecombe, Waipukurau, Bulls, Woodville, Foxton, Eketahuna in the central North Island come to mind....

Are you in to exchanging the mercruiser stuff with other aftermarket brands? Sounds weird you are going through balancers so often...
