i have a standard open 1300 escort diff and i only wanna do the drive train once and over engineer it plus wit a standy 1300 ive made my diff start whining

all da ford ppl i talk to told me i could go b2000 but sed its just as much effort and not quite as strong as a falcon or as easy to find

the supercharged pinto which seems by wat rt was saying to be a very torquey engine with some forced induction hence forth the falcon diff is a must

thats right im running 215/50/13s when you get your falcon diff in id be real keen to know the speed obviously it will put ur speedo out but id be interested in what rpm your pulling at 100kph

escort axles break as soon as u fix the spider gear breakin issue (ie locker) cortina 6 cyl diff still need shortening and non lsd can find a falcon diff lsd for about 50 - 200 bucks depending on condtion etc also falcon means i could have rear discs if i want and shortening is lile 400 + stud pattern change = 80 capri lsd means going to a quaife one which is real expensive and i shouldnt have any lack of power looking for and wont stop throwing money at it till i have 200rwkw want to have top speed at about 225 - 245 kph and about 6500 - 7000 rpm in 5th with the w55 toyota box im not keen on a locker or else would simply fit shortened cortina diff

hilux is more expensive plus should be ford and hilux will break before falcon i wanna keep it ford and coz i can get disc brakes on the falcon lsd and they are very easy to cum by

tru could u use a ute lsd with the commy crown wheel and pinion??? and going into a escort with supercharged 2L and w55 box that will be doing skidz everywhere and generally gettin the shit raped out of it

hey im lookin for a lsd for my escort estate and have been lookin at falcon diffs coz they are strong and easy to get lsds for. but the closest to escort ratio i can find is 3.45 ive heard commodore diffs are the same but that you can get them in a 3.9. im looking for 3.9 - 4.1 ratio or a 3.77 at the tallest anyone got any ideas????

hold up so if you put cosowrth rods and pistons into a sohc pinto you would drop heaps of compression is that what you are saying???

just get cosworth rods and pistons or you could use i think its LD28 nissan rods but then you need to get some machining done if i was you id do it now while the engine is out atleast that way if u wanna make more grunt later your not worrying about reliability

yeah the 3 inches lower was with 205s and i dunno how come your car is rubbing method becoz i got 205s and mine dnt rub with 205s with even 4 ppl in it sitting on bumbs at the back and nearly at the front

thanx guys i told him it would be more work you shudnt ruin a mk1 corty wit a pinto they r too rare they have to be restorable or atleast thats my opinion and plus theres sumthing kinda cool about having a 1500 pre crossflow and pulling 9000 rpm they dont last long but its still fun

my m8 is putting a pinto and 5spd into a mk1 cortina how much more work is this then a pinto into a escort

to put 205s on my mk1 i had to get the gaurds pumped out like 20mm and it dont rub always sits closer on the left tho strange old ford thing anyway but it dsont rub at all now and looks mean and its about 3 inchs lower

the injectors anre much bigger then standard running a supra turbo fuel pump and a fairly large turbo theres the possibility for alot more engine is for sale for 2000 also a t50 to fit and a driveshaft to fit a t50 and 4age into a escort also for sale

hmmm maybe you need a bigger turbo then ive heard of 480hp at the flywheel from a turbo injected intercooled pinto over in aussie

what size turbo are you running???
