  1. that mean

cheers for letting know. do you know what deltas run? my one had a saab modded t3, my mates one- about 3 years newer had a Garret. euro might be the go after all

    Delta 1600 has a T2

    Delta HF 4WD has a T3 50 trim

    Delta Integrale 8V T3/4

    Delta Integrale 16V T3

    Delta Integrale Evo T3

    Thema/Croma 8V T3 50 trim

    Thema 16V T3 50 trim

    Thema 16V S3, T3 (smaller than S2)

Integrale 8V got the biggest turbo, a big factory T3/4. They actually got progressively smaller after that.

T3's are common as on 80's euros.

  2. You can make anything fit with enough money....

I reckon the best bet is an 80's 2 litre block, because that will bolt in. Then if you use a thema/croma head (which you can with some small mods) you can get a turbo and fuel injection as well. One of the turbo heads (because it is east west originally) has the standard headers pointing forward in the engine bay when put on a north/south block.... perfect for turbo+intercooler plumbing.

There is a whole lot of stuff here; http://turbo124.com/forum/index.php

Problem then is to make sure the rest of the driveline is up to it I guess

Turbo head will put the inlet on the RHS, ex on the LHS. You need custom manifold to make it work then. If you use a 131/124 head the flow direction is reversed so you can use late model EFI manifolds.

A guy in Dunedin is fitting a Croma turbo engine to a 124 sedan

turbo124.com is owned by an Australian but its got many NZ members (about equal)

  3. didnt the bathurst spec sierras run 40psi during race and 60psi during qualifying? stupid amounts..

Yep, about 3 bar at Bathurst (43psi). They were faster than the GTR's in a straight line, just not as good overall.

  4. i

Its a 1600 FWD, motor out of a Fiat 125 apparently?

Sorry about bringing up the old thread.

Delta 1600 is a 1585cc 71x84mm engine. It looks the same as a 125 1600 but the 125 is 1608cc 80x80. As you can see its quite different.
