  1. Mitsubishi hydraulic lifters get very noisy if they get gummed up. Try changing the oil and slapping some promar in there.

A lot of the Evo guys change them out for ones that have larger orifices to overcome this - they pretty much become solid lifters if the pressure can't relieve itself.

  2. WHen you've replaced the battery, best double check for a current drain to be sure as the new one will die very quickly if it gets drained repeatedly to 0VDC.

Let me know if you need a hand to be able to do this

  3. Your battery won't charge dude, that's why you're getting 11 VDC straight after switching off. Get a new one, or at least a second hand one that is ok, then continue working your way back to the charging system.

  4. yeah I dont much like that vid of apex and the rx7, extended swingarm = gay, drifting a stock length bike is so much fucking harder.

And for the debate of supermoto vs street bike I take it youve never spent alot of time on either lol.

Sliding a supermoto is like roosting a dirtbike, your not fighting the weight of the bike so you can lay them down alot further and they arnt nearly as prone to highsiding like a street bike is.

And so the point you're really getting at is what? That watching someone drift a road bike slowly should be more entertaining than watching motards do the same, at higher speeds, because it's harder to do?

By that criteria - someone should set up a diesel van drift squad and entertain the masses with drifting slowly...

  5. I think its around one of 10 NZ new models sold by Cockram Nissan.

42k back in 85 which was more than a house, so right now that makes a brand new GTR look cheap.

My workmate owns one of the others... Interesting comparison with the GTR too, as that's what he was looking to upgrade to when he moves it out of the garage/ he won't.... lol!

  6. Some alternators use the same plug for the sensor and charge light, but the polarity of the connections is reversed. Worth checking this out - it caused me some short term confusion when I changed from a Mitsubishi alternator to a Lucas one in the Silvia, and had similar symptoms to what you are describing.

  7. This from a friend of mine on Facebook yesterday - I said I'd keep an eye out and help spread the word.
