Getting shit done. Driveshaft loops made and installed. Coilovers passed NDT today.

Also bought a R32 GTR front lip through Alex/Moonlight racing.

Bought some Enkei RPF1s in 18x9 +35 and 18x10 +38. I was a little worried I may have fucked up the offsets and thought 18" might be a little large but I'm pretty happy with the fitment. Looks pretty sweet in person so can't wait to get it sitting on the ground again.
Just need to massage the lips a little to get it to fit
255/35 in the rear and 225/35 up front
Slowly getting there. Fully focused on the car now after a pretty messy few months.

Wish my old cars were this rusty.

I agree with these other chaps. I'm willing to bet you could throw a lot more timing in under full load.
I ran more timing with 12psi in an old engine of mine. 20deg @ 12psi from memory.
Another I think was around 23deg @ 8psi. Both engines were on factory cast pistons that are notorious for cracking in these particular engines.
You should be 28-32ish on 98 surely.

Can't have warmed it up in the drive for 10 minutes first

LS can fuck right off. JZ is sweet but really the only thing that suits this car is a 1GG with a straight pipe

r154s are pretty agricultural tbh. pretty sure an old fergy shifts nicer

Will that stuff remove paint? Even cheap spray can shit?

IDs are meant to be pretty good at low PWs, so some cheaper injectors may not be so flash. But as lith says, 390cc is fine
I also lold at the 12:1 afr, but fuck it, it works. (point I was actually trying to make) If you had injectors that big chances are you wouldn't run it on gasoline anyway tbh, so would probably idle fine on e85 etc

Hey guys
Looking at an ns250r, unsure of age but most likely early model. It is missing the front fairing, dash cluster and has no rego.
Mostly looking at getting it just to make sweet 2cyl 2 stroke noises and fang it around the countryside, however if I'm going to fork out money for it, I'd like to know if they are actually worth anything if I got bored of it and wanted to sell it/finish and do it up?
It will run fine. Apparently it was crashed into a workbench whilst doing a burnout (needs new tyre also) hence missing the front bits
I'm not so clued up about road bikes and there are none on TM to get an idea of worth

Funny how even with all the extra power the moo motor still sounds like shit.
I say do it, Clint. I won't feel bad if you hack one up
-
Sounds awesome too btw

I sat in it and it certainly gave me a whole new perspective and a lot of respect for the mad bastards that drive the things, even more so for the guys who drive FEDs

bugger about the driver? like physically uncomfortable? or dropped nuts because its dodgier ride than a velobike with 100x the power? any pics?
A little bit of both I think. He owns an 8sec car himself but laying down cramped into a steel cage is enough to scare most people I guess.
I'll try grab some pics later in the week as we're gonna do some testing before putting it away for next year

Been slowly doing bits n bobs on this over the last couple of months. Not currently living near the car and riding my dirt bike while the weather has been good makes for slow progress.
So while I was in the shed today I realized that if i just plugged a couple things in it might attempt to start. So, without even changing anything on the laptop - this happened

Not even sure what the timing is set at, as someone has borrowed my timing light, and it turns out the fuel pump is sucking air as I ran it almost dry when I tested the pump out a couple months back
I was quite surprised it actually started

Looked good at the drags today!

I've got a little turbo that will bolt on to this

Sun is shining!..
Driver pulled out last minute last night as he wasn't comfortable with the cockpit. Sad face
3rd year lucky?

Exhaust finally finished. 3.5" straight pipe, twin 2.5" stainless tips for a more subtle/stock look.
