Officially on Holiday by this point. I shoveled a truck and a half of builders mix (6-7 tonne?) into a concrete mixer, along with about 35-40? bags of cement and water. Pouring it into my old mans trusty wheel barrow, operated by the best parents in the world.
This was on that same day where some of NZs towns reached their highest temps in years. (took a day and a half to fill all holes)
No time/effort left to take photos.
Corona's were consumed.

With the help of my old man in his John Deere 6010, we erected some poles and braced them up ready for concrete.
Starting to take shape, looking something like an American style barn.

Nice section. Nice ute.
Win/win
Sold Rodeo the night that photo was taken! Had to free up some money so the Mark II is on daily duties atm

The next job was to set up some profiles. I think the permit finally came in just after this. Whew! Just in time to start work over the Christmas break.
Holes! These were dug by a bobcat with an auger attachment. The center rows are 1200mm deep and 600mm wide, outside rows 1000x600 and intermediate poles 600x600. The day after permit arrived, I booked the inspection for the footings/pole holes.

As per dream shed thread. This isn't really my "dream" shed but it's close enough for a rough cunt.
So like, way back when I was 21 I bought 6.5 acres with the intention of building a house one day. I was a builder at the time which was perfect as there was no way I'd be able to afford to pay someone to do it.
Fast forward 6 years, now single again with plenty of time on my hands and living with the olds while I sort my shit out. I decided it was time to do something with the section, but building a house was too difficult on a single wage, so I decided to do a workshop and live in it.
Months and months went by. I drew plans, got quotes, talked to the bank, got a 2nd mortgage etc. Seemed like an eternity to get everything sorted.
Mid December, just before I went on holiday before Christmas. I mowed the lawns and sprayed the drive.

Shouldn't a supra do 12s with only like 400hp anyway?

This thing has been towing a trailer around and doing general daily duties lately. Pretty happy that the engine, gearbox and diff I built haven't all exploded. Even did a skid the other day.

Bought:
Toyota Echo/Yaris coils
MS3X
Precision pt6265
Single 50mm gate
Now I just need a new daily, finish the new shed/home and it'll be time to make some power. I'll update this in about a year lol

Anything jzx is heavy! Just mash JZ and auto into something small with a decent diff? Would have to be way cheaper than an x chassis also

Did they have a prepped track last time, Roman?

Oh cool! haha yup that's my old car. I still own a 78 gem coupe but it hasn't run in years.

And when you get somewhere passed the 200+ mark, testicle size also comes into play.

Took a gamble and bought a 1ggze cam angle sensor, which fits directly in place of the 2jzge distributor.. So now I just need some coil packs and a decent ecu to make it all go.
Leaves plenty of room to fit an air filter, when ever I get around to doing the new T4 turbo setup.

Hey guys.
The clutch has been slipping in my Rodeo for months so have pulled the box to fix it while the jzx is on the road. I can turn the engine over by hand using the flywheel so it seems like low compression to me, as diesels should be really hard to turn over yeah? like 400psi comp or some shit?
Anyway, Should I rip that sucker out and rebuild it? And if I do what should I look out for? Never played with a diesel before.
I don't want to spend millions, so can I get away with rings, valve job and maybe bearings if it needs it? Engine is actually clean and tidy/looked after but just getting tired.
Thanks

Skinny jeans are comfortable as fuck.
Give them a try, you may like them.
After working on my car every night for the last two weeks, I've finally got it in a useable state.
Tuner came and did a couple of quick 3rd gear pulls and I can now rev it round to 8,500rpm.
However, loosing oil pressure on acceleration, believe that the oil cooler is too restrictive.
Replacing it with a straight through cooler tomorrow morning, hopefully it fixes it as it's the last item on the list before heading down to powercruise.
If you see me there, come say Hi.
Me and a mate came and had a look at your car on Sat morning I think it was. Didn't even realize it was you until I randomly woke up at 3 in the morning and I was all like "that was shgwag!"
I asked about the s366 as I was thinking of something similar for the 2j, and asked you about your tow car, if you remember haha
How'd it go anyway? I seen you on one of the cruise sessions but didn't get much camera footage unfortunately

First run yesterday, the owner went out and had no drive as we forgot to top up the gearbox lol and stupidly didn't do a quick run the night before to check it.
2nd run I managed to do a quick burnout, then completely forgot from last year that you need to put it in reverse, then hit the transbrake for it to actually go into reverse, Fail! Then it sounded all rich, stalled and wouldn't start so had to get towed. Thinking back I should have just plucked it in first and nailed it to at least get down the track.
We left a small puddle of oil so that ended our day/weekend. Apparently SB2s have a different crank seal to other small blocks so couldn't even get one from repco. Fail x2
So all in all pretty much a myriad of fails and unorganizedness. Felt awesome when it hooked up during the burnout - highlight of the day for me.

Over the holidays I didn't get as much work done as I had hoped. A big Christmas and boxing day left my enthusiasm very low, as well as a decent new years for the first time in years, didn't help progress at all! (Dating game thread for info lol)
Rafters up over Xmas/NY period. A few girts attached on the side and rear wall (can't do others until slab is poured)
Purlins started on my last week of holidays. Not a bad view of the Tararua ranges.
My mate the skylark? came to sing for me everyday (more likely attracting new lady friends). He thinks this new place is made just for him!
I have now returned to work, so progress will be a lot slower!
