What ECU? After market ones usually have a trigger angle so the position doesn't really matter afaik
At least that's how it works with optical dizzy wheel setups, never done a crank trigger one myself.

You nailed it, a quick image search shows it's being built by JDM Motorsport in Brisbane and the owner is from Matarawa originally.
"A very nice build, featuring a 4 Rotor 26B Peripheral Port with EFI provided by 8x2000cc injectors and running on e85 fuel. The car runs a Electrical water pump. Direct twin plate clutch. S5 rx7 turbo gearbox and is being built by JDM Motorsport. The Link G4+ Thunder and Dash2Pro were supplied by Mark at Godzilla Motorsport."
Yup that's my cousins car. He also has a 500+ hp turbo rx3, ls1 180sx etc
He's all of 25ish years old and owns an earth moving business in brisbane

Keep sensor wiring away from coils/leads/plugs as they give off interference.
Braided sheathing and heat shrink looks a million times better than tape.
Keep solder to a minimum if possible.
Use shielded wire where needed (tps etc)

Originated with the garage dori crew from memory? They did the 1ggze swap and it also went through Spencer who I bought it off. God knows who else in between lol.

Not every day you see a JT gemini, especially with a rotary lol. Fucking magic

Or Idle control valve

Unsure of the legalities for fires, but it is an RD address, yes.

I've just got a heat pump going in for the living quaters, but I may eventually bang a fire in the workshop so I can play with cars in the winter time
Seriously thinking of batting the workshop too tbh

Septic guys came at the worst time possible. Mid winter mud pit
Water tank in place
Fast forward a few months and I had finally finished the outside, winter definitely killed my motivation so I did minor things inside while the weather was shit. Short days also killed any after work progress.
Few inside bits while it was wet
Attempting my own plastering.. Had to fix up a few bits lol
And a shot of the outside now.
Mum offered to buy some trees for my birthday, so I decided on some cherry blossoms for the driveway. Should look good in a few years.
Currently laying flooring & painting so will get some pics up nearer christmas when that's all starting to take shape.

Not really an SR fan but the launch is sweet

Golly me

Do the helper bags just inflate via a tyre valve? Sorta like air shocks? Might look into that later on if it becomes an issue

Ended up borrowing some coin and got a 2010 Colorado and I'm loving it so far
My dad drove it today and was rather impressed, and he drives a fancy newish Range Rover.
Failing to see any agriculturalness? It maybe a little floaty in the suspension (I'm used to low/hard shit) but it isn't even noisy like my old 4jb1 was. Either way I'm pretty pleased!

Mostly will just be used as a car. But when it's going to be towing it'll be towing a heavyish tandem axle trailer (braked) with a 1500+ kg car on it, other than that, just the odd random building materials, engines etc on the back but not loaded up every day.

The new shape colorados you mean? Cause I've got an eye on the older Rodeo shape ones
-
Ford/maz had nothing for me to look at unfortunately
-
Chur bowls. The Rodeo wasn't there as they took it to the Pahiatua branch for someone to have a look at, it's the facelift model with 4jj1
Got a couple of BT fiddies on my watchlist also, are there any major differences between them and the Ranger? I was talking to the guy who delivered my windows & doors this morning and they have had a ranger since new that has now done 200k without too many issues, and it's job is to tow a 3 axle trailer full of aluminium joinery (up to 3.5 tonne) every day, often over the Rimutakas. The EGR took a shit not long ago, it overheated and cracked the head - but that can be avoided I think.
Edit: the earlier 3 liter bt/ranger not the 5pot jobbies

An 06 is still 20k today! Do you think the clutch was changed to the later type or something?
Shit, I just don't know! There's so many varying opinions. Where's J5 at, he works for Holden yeah? Need more info on them zoozoos
-
I'll pop into Ford and take one of theirs for a spin before I go see the Rodeo so I've got a comparison. Gone off the Hiluxes now seeing all these clutch issues and I need something that can tow a chubby car on a trailer

Going to look at a 2007 rodeo on Sat. Are they pretty similar to a 09 Colorado?
-
Rangers are cheaper than I thought too. Any specific problems with any of the 3 to look out for? (rodeo/hilux/ranger)
Might go do some test drives
-
All good info. I'm kinda with threeonthetree about staying 2wd, I can always fit different wheels later on.
I prefer the bigger 3.0l engines so I'm sort of stuck between the 2004+ Hilux and the 2007/2008 Rodeo at the moment. Rodeo is a good 3-4 grand cheaper which makes the Hilux a bit over the budget. (around 18-20g for a tidy one with under 200,000km)
Are they really that much better? Or is it all Toyota hype (like I say I don't care what they look like etc)
Nissan out
Mitsi all seem to be 2.5 for the 2wds and arent as cheap as I thought
What else is there? Ranger/bt50 could be an option
Just bought a Mark ii gx81 want to lower it.

S14 springs work. Rubbish in an x chassis though.. unless you like that boaty feel.
