haha yeah i mean for the drags, had heapsa fun when raced the van at summerdrags so decided i wanted something lighter with more go, hoping to do some low 13's maybe even a 12, tho am keen to have a crack around a track and maybe some hill climbs or whatever
-
pulled old struts out and put new ones in, heres a photo to compare the 2
-
Had to buy this rx3 box just to get the bellhousing, $400 later
-
So it turns out my rx3 bellhousing is a bottom mount starter twin dizzy item so to me it means its useless as it wont bolt up to back of my motor.
Anyways picked up my gearbox from TGA and its been fitted with its steel selectors and dropped my gilmers and chrome end caps off to get polished
-
this things looking real nice where did you get the gilmer drive kit ?
Gilmers were made by a friend of mine who is an engineer
Cut them tail lights out and put some escort ones in pleaseWhos paintin it?
escort ones? nah 2 pairs of mk1 tina lights would look good
-
Picked up my gilmer belt drive tonight, off to tauranga tomorrow to pick up my gbox as its had steel selectors fitted, turns out my W58 is a rare high strength model with a heat treated main shaft .
While im over there i will be dropping my rx3 bellhousing and gilmers off to get polished

My EFI hardware 50 mm throttle bodies, the intake manifold give away what i will be running so will post a pic up of housings

Anyways i parted with my bongo on the 21st of june and recieved a 1979 323 4 door hatchback rolling body.

2 series 4 oilcoolers welded on top of each other with 3 motor bike fans
3 core radiator with 2 therma fans on the front
What i have bought for it so far:
10ib billet flywheel
5 puk clutch
1 ton billet pressure plate
W58 supra box, adapter to rx3 bellhousing
steel selectors
Bosch 910 fuel pump, carter 4070 lift pump, custom made alluminium surge tank
1/2" fuel lines
efi hardware 50mm ida style throttle bodies, 4 550cc injectors, microtec ltx8

More flairs than a seventies disco

duno if any one has stumbled accross this but it seems like a pretty well put together site
show us what you can find!
-
hmm cant remember if they campaigned that here or not.
noticed this sticker while cropping photo, mite go back and see what it says, also take more photos of stickers that i didnt see
-
Bolt a first gen RX7 bellhousing onto the MX5 box, you will need to dismantle the box tho to shorten the input shaft 11mm.
if its anything like a bongo gearbox you can just cut it off yourself without dismantling the gearbox itself
-
Damn that's awesome. What's the place called?
i forgot the name, but its on riri st in rotorua, been there for years
Hey mesdup do you work for telecom?nope, that pic in my sig is just a piss take
