thanks for the help guys- the van is finally up and running! made some interesting discoveries along the way....like it had a gearbox from a porsche, a clutch from a mitsubishi and some peugeot bits in it......but all sorted now!

Hey all. Right- my dad is on his way to wgtn to help my lil bro try and resurrect an old combi van (lil bro is planning to turn it into mobile coffee shop thing). Plan is that dad will spend the week down there helping him get it going etc. What im hoping for from the oldschool peoples: Could anyone with the slightest bit of knowledge of good parts places in wgtn/how to fix combis/etc or even just have some spare time and willing to have a look and see if you can help maybe?? could you please text dad (steve 0273321220) and let him know? or post on here and ill let him know.... we arent familiar with wgtn so any help appreciated! Reckon its about time we tried to organise another meet - like the swapmeet thang in palmy. But perhaps a little better organised this time (ie. no people turning up for 2 minutes then leaving before we even know you are there............DONNA THIS MEANS YOU!!! ) Thinking late jan/early feb maybe? any ideas/opinions people?

man looks like this is going to be a bit bigger job than i thought- cap and leads =brand new. condensor brand new. couldnt find anything wrong with the rest of it but will have to do a decent look again........yeah just seems odd that it'll go sweet as for 3 mths then just suddenly boom. that is a VERY intermittant fault!

^^thought- thankyou. doesnt putt putt much before it blows though........it'll be fine one minute then suddenly just cough and die and no go until i change condensor-so im not getting any warning- just seem to be burning out the condensor really fast! (3 mths just doesnt seem long for a new part.......)?

seem to be wearing mine out a bit faster than i would expect-cant find any obvious faults.......anyone had this prob before? currently only getting about 3 mths use out of a new one before it randomly dies...usually somewhere inconvenient like halfway up a steep hill......
