  1. just found a letter from ltsa on another forum clearing some of these matters up for someone else.
Once a vehicle is 40 years or older it is no longer subject to Continuous Vehicle Licensing (CVL) and the licensing and registration fees are reduced.

A vehicle turns 40 years old on the first of January regardless of the month it was registered. For example, a 1960 vehicle would turn 40 years old on the first of January 2000.

Our system recognises the year a vehicle turns 40 and automatically adjusts any details as necessary (i.e. the licence fees are automatically amended to reflect the new fees).

    Kind Regards

  3. Did anyone clock SF2 over weekend? I could only beat the machine occasionally. Im sure that was a super hard SF! ... or. ... drunk reflexs makes stuff difficult?

Hey is lift kitted letterbox still alive?

    Gaz

im sure mike-e will tell you that drunkness spoils SF skills .. . how many times did i kick your ass mike...oh um FOUR!! hehehehe rematch next time :D

  4. I had similar problems with a GTO where the cast manifold (4 into 2) joins to a pipe 2 into 1 section before joining the exhaust pipe proper. I tried a brace (original), no brace, flexi section, new 2 into 1 pipe section, surface planing ....etc. The joint would only last about 4 weeks Max  It didn't matter what I did until I threw the cast manifold away and made some 4-2-1 headers. I have not had a problem since (3 years) :D .

Did your old manifold blow in the same place as the replacement you are now using?

nah old manifold didnt used to blow- replaced it cause it had massive cracks all through it :(

  5. i can take some pics of one and put them up tomorrow if you like..

thankyou for the instructions! will totally be following those this wknd- but yes if you could get photos then that would be super helpful also :D (like i said-im a bit of a munce when it comes to engineering-need all the "paint-by-numbers" kinda help that i can get...

  6. Brace your exhaust to your bellhousing, it can make a huge difference.

I had issues with an older set of extractors on my old van that kept snapping within an inch of number 4 port, I added a fairly heavy brace to the bellhousing which cured the problem.

I also had the same prob as you with blowing the gasket at number 4 with brand new extractors, again a brace solved the problems.

anyone have a photo of their braces for this that i can have a gander at/blatantly copy?
