Finally got some pictures of what i've been up to, pretty guttef as most of the build up pictures where lost when i lost my ipod but heres a few anyway.
shortened castor arms
Lengthened LCA's 20mm
coilovers
modified strut tops
12A instead of the 10A
hand brake and gearstick setup
half cage I built, has been built to motorsport specs so I can later add on to build a full cage
hydraulic hand brake I made.
After having an attempt at drifting and loving it but the car not handling to well I decided the car was pretty hopeless as a streetcar so why not do some better mods and have a decent crack at getting it sideways.
Really what to fit sum wide alloys aswell but finding some is more of the problem

So so awesome! I really hope the shellsport does kick back into gear, these cars RULE
-
oh and for the people wondering, the 10a was pulled out because the water seals were blown and the gearbox needed a rebuild so i decided if i put a 12a in it i can sell it at some stage and still keep the little 10a for a more appropriate chassis at some stage.

no pics as I lost my ipod which id been taking all my shed photos on. but corolla is now sporting a 12a bridgeport as i scored it cheap from a mate who crashed his immaculate van into a black cow! extended the LCA's by 20mm, have used evo 4 tein coil overs to make some nice struts for it. fitting a rear sway bar. building a half cage and then hopefully paint! the plan is to have it all going for powercruise. would also love to get rid of the modgies for some nice small wide alloys but dont really have the money for a good set, they will do for now with a paint up. will try get some pics ASAP

bit of a no pic update. was getting close to getting this thing done but engine has one hell of a rattle/bearing noise, kinda lost the motivation on it so went back to another one of my projects. will be back at this soon. need to update the front drums to disks and still to finish off the tray and wiring. might just go do a burnout and (try) kill it then buy another engine haha. only problem is as i'm aware being a s1 manual v6 it needs to be replaced with the same or use a flywheel adaptor i think.

wish it was still this clean. no more 10a anymore tho

thanks boys! always good to here people like ya work!

so chur, ute runs, hopefully test drive tomorrow and will upload some pics and vid.
sorry didn't make it to the horopito cruise, ended up getting to pull apart a 20b (stoked!) and scoring a 626 for a drift car I've got planned.
-
will get a bit of an update on the ute soon as, our internet is over usage and on dial up speed now so utter bullshit for uploading
-
oh shit yes! I'm in Ohakune so will be hell keen to meet up at horopito, and also do enjoy OTP good fun. with any luck the b1600 will be going to.

cheers for the feedback fellas! silly thing was a never took pics as I was building things as when ever I made something I would never have the camera handy. but, was fairly straight forward, the bottom arms had the whole spring cup cut out and replace with a flat 4mm? plate with the mounting hole drilled. top arm was pie cut as the ball joints were just starting to bind up with big tyres and full drop. the entire spring cup and shock mount on the chassis was removed and replace with a piece of channel on the correct angle to make the bag sit flat when deflated and then an external shock mount had to be made because the shock could no longer go between the spring.
EDIT: shit i lied just looked through my photos after writing this and found a pic so i'll put it into the build thread

i really wanted a hand painted workshop style logo but had these stickers already so they will do for now, at least you can read it, no?
-
So, bit of progress on the old ute. had it already to start then turns out engine was seized in the bore, tried tow starting it but way to light in the rear. anyway thought flag that idea so bought a 3800 series 1 buick engine (sorry for stealing the idea jase) and 5 speed for 800. have it all mounted, almost all the wiring done (not in the piks), drive shaft is done fuels lines almost finished. the nicely painted chassis is now all covered in over spray and matt black from changing the mounts, doh! just need to finish off the extractors and then the exhaust and sort a radiator (hilux diesel looks good). was all coming together untill now as its in storage and i'm in canada for the winter skiing and driving snow groomers. looking forward to getting back to get it on the road.

heres my two bikes i've built recently,
The red oxide one started as a regular old mtnbike took everything off it i could, scored some sweet bars, put the crate on the back (holds 54 cans of double brown=CHUR) ripped the fabric off the seat and scored some white tyres cheap. really need some old pedals and change the sprockets so it is a proper single speed.
The lowrider started as a ladies cruiser bike, found an old exercycle took the bars off it and the crank, welded another set of rear forks and made a long ass chain. is real fun to ride!
besides the white tyres both bikes cost me $5 each
both bikes have flats haha.

heres some more pics for you all, not a whole lot more to do now but would like to get it going before rotary summerdrags so I can take it to at least one event before I head to canada for there ski season. gave it a paint as you can see but need to respray the roof and bonnet as it reacted with the black that was underneath. got to finish the tray but you can see the bulk of it is done. made a nice long shifter with an old file handle, looks quite good i think. also need to finish painting the back wheels. needs a fuel tank and I'm trying to find some old army jerry cans to weld some fittings in and use them, what do you think?
thanks guys!
