Cheers chaps. All earths and leads to starter etc have been cleaned and tight. Similar sort of problem after just got it going, was put down to a bad earth on engine, so that may have not been the case after all?

hey,
didnt think required its own thread,
E21 didnt start yesterday, turned key, dash lights on, no tur rurrs.
Rolled it outside and managed to jump start it with my piddly pencil thin jumper leads on Jo's car (usually don't do anything)
Drove for approx an hour to wanganui, started first pop when we left.
Drove to visit someone in feilding, nipped out to get some dinner and wouldn't start, so crash started it. Started first pop when we left feilding again later on in the night.
Started no problem since then, and took battery into repco for them to do a test, still pulled up 12.5v and 516cca.
I thought may be a starter problem rather than battery, but surely putting leads on the battery wouldn't help this?

Hey guys,
Thought we could change the meet up over the summer months. Had a talk to a few of the members, and have come up with something similar but a bit different for this month.
As we're summer now, not a huge need for an undercover carpark (hopefully!).
Meet at the Campbell Street carpark next to heatrite at 6:30.
From there we'll walk down to Pacha's Cafe (Kebabs, Iskendas, and the most pine enducing Baklava).
He has some outdoor dining out the back. Hoping to get a hold of him to see if we can book it out.

Hmmm 535i E28s are great, but man! That looks like a far good E34 to kill.
-
falken ze912s are friggin cheap as mentioned above. Run them on both my E21 and my wifes Fielder Z.
I have no idea at all why you would go china when decent tyres are only a bit more.
Firestone tyres are fucking horrible and I always seem to end up with them on my cars when I buy them.

Damn son!
So good! Agree with the million dollar tridents these days. Pay the boss to be the boss though eh.
Tidy 12 slots with new eagers look great though!

Whats quite astounding is that whilst seeing your post I was taking a guitar break after not playing since last time you were in the same proximity as me. In fact, I still have my guitar in my lap?
Coincidence?
Yeah.

As an alternative. Run one in my car, works fine.
Probably cheaper to microsquirt if you're in the know, but the tuneable dizzy is minimal wiring, and works great.

Wow, nice find! interested to see this take shape

Bit late to the party, but man this looks sweet!
Got a soft spot for heralds, and this looks on point. Will look amazing on wide standard steels.

So recently gave this thing a bit of a tidy up, mainly in the interior, which was started by my a1 wife getting me a rad Momo Prototipo for my 30th.
The ever amazing Greg for Midnight Upholstery whipped me up a couple of new door cards to replace the originals that were cut to bits for some ugly 6x9s by the previous owner, Simon came to town to make me a little panel to mount the VDO gauges, and Cam chucked a bit of vinyl at it, and totally rewired the engine bay, and got rid of a shit load of unnecessary wires. I also got a nice new gearknob turned up from a guy from the wood workers guild.
The highly talented Richy "I'm not a fan of excess Coriander" Opie came down and took some amazing shots - some of you may have seen some sneak previews for a certain upcoming article!
Oh, and I also got it retuned now that it's run in. Not much in the way of peak power, but a nice 8-10kw pick up in a lot of mid range bits. Goes quite well!
First run in 3rd, then 4th.

Who'd get into BMWs? What a sicko.
Nice though man. E36s are lush cars for the money they are at the moment.

Also this month we're gonna give burgerfuel a break and smash a curry at "arranged marriage" in the square.

Hey guys,
Meet at the ferguson street lower plaza carpark at 7pm
meet us there at 7, then we'll grab some takeaway feeds at 7:30-8 from surrounding places.
- Just a note, feel free to invite other cars/people along, but you will be responsible for them! Please leave no rubbish and no skids/rowdy driving in the carpark - We've been given permission from the Plaza to use this, and we don't want to loose it.
We have a rain free car park, and the barrier arms go up shortly after we arrive, meaning no parking fees. This won't be on facebook as such, so make sure you write it in your diaries/phones.
Make sure you bring some warm clothes and a camera. Seeya there!

Ok.
So, that was really a waste of money spending refurbing those fins right?
Because you now have the perfect wheels.
I'm lots more excited now btw.

Stalled it in the driveway on fri after coming home, wouldn't start. Banged starter motor with wheel brace, bang, starts.
Guess thats the problem!
Why the hell would have jump starting made it work though?
