Burgerfuel Palmy
Meet at; The lower undercover park at the plaza at 7:00pm
We'll check out some cars, and walk straight over the road for some takeaways about 7:30-8
- Just a note, feel free to invite other cars/people along, but you will be responsible for them! Please leave no rubbish and no skids/rowdy driving in the carpark - We've been given permission from the Plaza to use this, and we don't want to loose it.
We have a rain free car park, and the barrier arms go up shortly after we arrive, meaning no parking fees.
Grab a camera and we'll seeya there- 3

So should I probably not be driving the thing? Or ok for now as long as I'm not revving it out gee?
-
So because it was a pretty accurate title I shouldn't need to explain anymore, but i will anyway.
Have a 2000 Toyota Corolla Fielder Z that mainly does Jo duties/daily drives to work etc.
Noticed that when the vvti is supposed to be "kicking in" at approx 6500, it now hesitates, misses slightly and accelerates with hesitation.
Started doing it in just 1st gear doorts, which I thought was just low speed/tyre chirp. Have noticed it slowly progressed to both 2nd, and now 3rd gear. This doesn't make a lot of sense, but Cam/Gman suggested new plugs (them be bad at high revs, and less load in the higher gears). Changed and didn't make a difference.
Took air filter out in case it was blocked, and funnily enough it fixed it for one acceleration. Now it's bad again.
Sorry I can't explain better, it baffles me a tad.

I wouldn't say awesomely. But yeah, much better than standard at least! Could do with less bump steer and jitters. That would mean raising the front though and nahhhh
It'll be a bit of a handful I'm thinking, but defo looking forward to big dorts, and a label label idle.
Keen for track day if its running good, I've ran it in, and I've got a baffled sump.

Ok,
With the kind help of those top blokes cam and blizzo, the engine got stripped, and made a plan to have 2ltr in for nats.
Plan originally included a relatively stock rebuild, with a bit of porting, a cam that makes label label noises, and more than likely the 32/36 weber that I have.
I then found some high compression m10 pistons on ebay australia. Landed them for nix, and found that they wouldn't work due to them being for a 02 engine rather than an E21 (didn't know that combustion chambers were basically mirrored)
So, because I started on that track, I couldn't back track amirite?
Head as standard (mine on the right)
Head as of today
Hasn't got much more cutting to go, before polishing begins.
So current plan includes some JE pistons, a 294 cam, 45mm webers, maybe some headers, and some other misc bits from these fellas;

So yeah, fingers crossed I'll have more than double my current horsepower at nats. Should be pretty nippy round town.

E34 mesh 15x7 is a safe option.
Fit well, easy to get, look nice. If thats what you got Karl, then, boom.

Argh. Good point. Maybe the pak and save carpark instead? End closest to the burgerfuel end.
I'll head down there early and see what I can scrounge in either carparks

that is quite possibly the worst 400hp burnout ive seen.
Anyway. Do that dudds, but without feeling the need to put yuck cup holders in your car.
-
wat, michael, wat.
So dudds, you dont want vtec coz itll be all boo bahhh?
But what about top endy race motors that are all nothing, nothing, nothing, RARRRR
Thats much the same. Except you get drive-ability with a honda motor.
Do it.

M20s are good and all, but seem to get ok power out of m10s. Guess we'll see in a couple months time if so.
M44 would be choice.
Or just win at teh world liek Michael said and S14
-
nah m8 4cyl.
F20c - theres kits for 2002s so it must be great.
or K24.
Also, the m20s out of the e30s run the speedo drive off the diff, but E21s and 2002s run speedo off the gearbox, so you'd want an e21 gearbag unless you'd be running a link or megasquirt or whatever.
If you're gonna smash it up to put a bmw 6 you might as well put a 3.5 M30 in there/way heavier? Prolly.

Yo,
Have got some of that Kyrylon metalflake to paint the centre of my 13s, but apparently can be quite finicky with what primer you use (apparently it's an oil based paint which is rare), and can react with the wrong ones - don't particularly want to strip them again.
Any suggestions for semi good, off the shelf can primer from repco/supercheap/mitre10? Or should I get them primered by a panel shop with the good shit?
If there is good stuff, would it be worth letting the primer dry for a couple days before spraying the krylon?

Yeah damn that Roger. I'll be giving him a hearty handshake next weekend because of it.
oh
look, look, look, here's a picture with p dubs and his new boss
