OK. So there was no way that the engine was going to be ready for nats, so I held off a couple months whilst the dollar went everywhere. Clicked the button/called the dude in cali a week before nats and got the bits ordered.
They all turned up today, and look to be all there, and in the appropriate amount of pieces that is correct.
DORT BITS!
Pictured is;
2x 45mm webers
headers
arp head bolts
total seal gapless rings
TRP 294 cam with appropriate valve springs
rocker arm lockers (to replace springs that let go at approx 6800ish?)
steel head gasket
lightened factory flywheel
oil pump + timing chain
bearings, gasket set etc
oh and these little beauties, which should pop me up at a nice compression ratio
talking about it;

Burgerfuel Palmy
Meet at; The lower undercover park at the plaza at 7:00pm
We'll check out some cars, and walk straight over the road for some takeaways about 7:30-8
- Just a note, feel free to invite other cars/people along, but you will be responsible for them! Please leave no rubbish and no skids/rowdy driving in the carpark - We've been given permission from the Plaza to use this, and we don't want to loose it.
We have a rain free car park, and the barrier arms go up shortly after we arrive, meaning no parking fees.
Grab a camera and we'll seeya there- 2

So so choice! Well done man.

Was good to get a great turnout regardless of new/old car content. Numbers were ideal. Next time hopefully more old cars. New cars jitted pretty early.
Threads up for this month;

Yeah, well. Unfortunately the free chips with burger purchase has been pulled for now as well, due to burgerfuel head office.
I'm working on it though.

yo,
So buying a cheapish car polisher to try out on this e30 to see what happens/if any good will use to knock back Jo's corolla, then eventually when I don't think I'll ruin anything I'll use it on the e21.
Any recommendations on cheapish ones? I want to spend under $200 preferably for a "starting out" polisher.
An ex panny recommended the supercheap rockwell brand, as he used in a panel shop and gave it a hiding for approx 2 years.
If these are the go, then which out of the following;
Any other recommendations sub 200?

where is it? Always wanted one of them.

After reading your post above, what I'd recommend is a nice cold drink on a deck chair.
You can buy some drinks with the money you scrap the engine for.
Assuming you can get a ride to the scrap dealer, and then the liquor shop, and then wherever the deck chair is.

Hey man, dude that I brought all my bits of in cali/also my engine builder, said that with the specs I'm running with this motor then 40s would be too small/choke it a bit, apparently!
